any ideas on how to get 75 dollars? in 3 weeks?

I really want to participate in the ludam dare 35… but to do that I need to get the full version of game maker studio and need 75 dollars but I don’t know how to get it =(

You don’t need a full version of GameMaker in order to make games. There are a couple free alternatives to it including the free version of it.

Yeah maybe you can just find a different program to use in the meanwhile.

I would really recommend picking a general purpose programming language and a graphics framework and immersing yourself in code for the next 5-ish weeks. No doubt there will be struggles if this is your first time programming but it’s free and in my opinion fun.

you dont need full version? i used the free version before

the last few times I have tried to upload something and failed but this time I’m doing it!!!

Use a webhoster like dropbox, just make an account and upload your game to it, once uploaded you can share the file (it gives you a link) and on the LD edit page, there are fields where you can put in links to each version of the game, from Windows to Linux.

If you are using Unity do a web version. You can use itch.io, I have and it works great! The easier you make it for people to play the game the more that will!
