Joined

Hi, I’m GVmakesGames. It’s the second time I join, the first being the ld #27. Here are my things:

Engine: GameMaker Studio.
External libraries: probably none, maybe an achievement system I made some days ago.
Graphics: Paint.net, GIMP.
Music: Anvil Studio, FamiTracker, OpenMPT.
Sounds: SFXr, BFXr, Audacity.
Plot: my brain.

Here we go! I’ll optionally join the jam, tho. I’m but sure, but I think it’ll be it.

I’m probably out

Unfortunately, I have joined the GMC jam, and the theme / handicap is hardly compatible with the ludum dare possibilities, so I’m probably out.
But if the ld theme misteriously fits with my GMC jam idea, I may present the same game for both the jams.

Maybe I’ll join…?

Alright, this would be the second LD for me, and I have a little problem before joining: I currently have no PC.

Tomorrow I’ll buy one, and I am not even sure about that. I’ll try my best with GameMaker: Studio and FamiTracker, and bFXr, but knowing gamemaker, the game should be limited to Windows 8 and 64bits.

That’s because I’ve read somewhere that if you compileon win8, the game won’t be compatible backwards.

But don’t worry, I can still compile with my old PC, but that’ll be compiled and published, but unfortunately, it may be too late :c

However, good luck everybody!

I can confirm that GM:S games exported from Win8 PCs will indeed run on older versions of windows.

“in” is just a concept.

I’m in“. But IN what?

In the Ludum Dare? How could I be IN something that doesn’t have a physical form?

The question is not if I’m IN, it’s if I’m joININg.

Now that I have your attention, and that the ADD kicked in, I can safely say…

I’M IN!

As usual, I’ll try my best to work on a game (last time my pc catched fire, literally). I’ll be using GameMaker: Studio as usual (except for the first time I ever joined, when I used GameMaker 8).

Actually, I’m trying to fix my custom Java engine, because it has problems loading resources after compiling. If I am able to fix it before the jam, I can use it 😀

On the other hand, I’m trying to keep my mind on the main project I currently work on (because I tend to get extremely weak against by the Idea Fairy pokémon type), and I’m also voting the themes that have to do with it.

Not because it’s bad to have other ideas, but trust me, f you’re me, you know how it feels, when you have TONS of ideas. Billions and billions.

Also, tomorrow (the 14th) I have a regional selection for the IT olympics. If I pass it (which I probably won’t, because I don’t even know how to open a file in c++, which is the required language) I’ll go to the national selections and if I’m lucky, world olympics. No, I’m not kidding.

But I probably won’t pass, so it’s not a thing I’m really caring about 😛

Well, now I have to sleep. Bye! :3

Quick edit: I’m agoraphobic, aka I fear large open spaces and big crowds (15+ people are already too much).

That’s not gonna help me tomorrow :/

Second edit: I forgot. I’ll be doing everything as usual. Graphics, sfx, coding, music. All by myself. I’m decent at pixel art (CLICK), meh at music (CLICK), and well, I’m (almost) joining the programming olympics :3

I’ll be using paint.net and Famitracker as usual. Maybe I’ll use Audacity for the sfx, but I tend to use ft for those too, lately, just to stay in a famicom style.

Working on my game

Are you happy and/or in a good mood?

Good for you, because I’m working on a depressive game, and you’re going to play it.

If you know what “sonder” means, you may have a very blurry idea of what it’s going to be.

But trust me, ythat’s not the right idea 😉

BACK TO CODING!
