Survive Attack

Survive Attack – Web Player

It is meant to be a survival game based on a 16x3x16 chunk. You have limited space and you must make a farm, eat and protect the farm to stay alive.

This project will most likely NOT be finished in time for the ludum dare but it’s fun to work on.

Updated Survive Attack

Added: Scrollable item list (there’s only 3 possible items though)
Added: Hotbar. Assign items by selecting them then doing Ctrl + (0-9)

Changed: The mouse controls the drection you place/remove the block
Changed: The keyboard no longer rotates the player

Fixed: Player was able to place blocks outside the bounds on the Z axis

Note: You can place any placeable (not a word?) block in mid-air, including the crop which is kind of weird

Note2: The source hasn’t been updated

There’s no way I could’ve done all this in 48 hours

Evoluball

Check out my game Evoluball. It’s a small game where you transform as you gain points.

Right now it’s break time.

A game I’ve made – Match Cubed

A few weeks ago I started a Match 3 project called Match Cubed that I intended on finishing. Finishing a game is hard and lately I haven’t been finishing any game I’ve started. This one I’ve stuck with and would come to a point where I’d say it’s complete. I don’t have to stop working on it but for me, it’s got what I want in it without looking 100% amateurish. This will hopefully have gotten me ready for this Ludum Dare enough to finish.

Match Cubed

Minimal Destiny – Continued

I’m working on a story for this game and try to make it into a full game.

Any updates I’ll post here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gib-Treaty-Projects/338181696279416?ref=hl

Ludumdare is wearing level 27+ Armour this year. Good Luck.

Are you ready? Need some help? Here you go…

Here’s some free tools that I’ve made.

Health Script

– Split Terrain

Splits your terrain. Haven’t tested it in every possible situation but have tried testing with lots of trees and 2 textures and it seems to work properly. The textures seem to shift a little bit but where they’re actually painted stays the same.

Escape Ludusylum

CameraRotationBug

Was just about to publish a webplayer when the unthinkable happens! I discover a weird rotation bug. The enemy cameras just keep turning weirdly and shooting. Seems like they’re not targeting me properly anymore…

Escape Ludusylum – Update 1

Updated my game. I’ve fixed the enemies not losing you as a target. Also added another level that has a little bit of a challenge to it.

Escape Ludusylum

Level2

Escape Ludusylum – Challenge Achievecomplished

It’s been a looong 48 hours. On the first day I didn’t get a full 8 hours of sleep. More like 3 hours, stayed up for a bit, then 6 hours. Finally got some sleep today because I have to work tonight. I had a lot of fun this time around though. A lot of progress was made in such a short time and sacrifices were made. This Ludum Dare showed me that I don’t absolutely have to make every inch of a game perfect for it to come together how I want it to.

There’s so much going on in my head that I want to say, but it’s hard to put it all into words. So all I’m going to say is that if you’re wanting to make a game, just start. That’s really all you can do. Don’t stress about any potential problems you may have. In short, don’t worry about what’s on the other side of the door until you open it.

Grenade Blast ‘Em – You Only Get One

Here’s the start of my Ludum Dare 28 game, Grenade Blast ‘Em!

Grenade Blast ‘Em

The goal is to use your single grenade to solve a puzzle on the level. Later on there will be more grenade types and more levels.

Day One Over

So this is basically the end of day one for me. I’ve basically got my proof of concept out there. To start out with it looks like a good idea, you get a selection of grenades and have to complete each level with only one of them. I’m going to make it so the other grenade types have to be unlocked first. First though, I need to decide what level design I want to go for. Realistic or something completely different. I do want to do something a bit like portal where each level adds to some sort of a story.

Grenade Blast ‘Em

Struggling here… as usual

Grenade Blast ‘Em

Level design is one of the hardest things for me to do when it comes to games. Sure I can make a single level to test certain ideas for a game but after that… I got nothin. If anyone wants to give any ideas that’d be great! I may just go for a more wacky level design where the puzzles you try to solve with the grenades don’t necessarily mean blasting other objects… but instead the player. Note: player can’t be hurt by the grenades.
