Hey, this is my first ever jam and this will probably be my first ever completed (in a fashion) game. I was quite nervous about what the theme was going to be, but I woke up in the night and quickly checked the theme. I didn’t have a clue what I was going to do, but when I woke up this morning, I had come up with a rough idea within 5 or 10 minutes. I have changed it a little, but the main mechanic is staying pretty much the same.

It’s going to be a memory-based platformer and so far, even I’m being trolled pretty hard by it. I might stick with the graphical style because it’s simple and it seems to work quite well.

To wrap up, I’m just glad to live in an era where we have such a huge indie community where people welcome you and encourage you to carry on and give you such amazing feedback on what you are doing.

I just have the main gameplay mechanic to finish off, which ties into the name: Memory Lapse. Because the game is being played in one room or one level, every time you reach the exit, the level resets. Each level reset makes certain platforms or traps invisible. The number of invisible objects increments each time the level resets, slowing increasing the difficulty and also to test your memory.
