LD25

Let’s do this!

I’m going to go all Java on this, old-school style with something like an EGA palette and low resolution (zoomed in for good measure). Unless, you know, the theme suggests me otherwise.

Language: Java

Library: LWJGL

Sound FX: sfxr

Graphics: Paint.net

Let’s get started and be sure to get all your software set up and ready.

See you starside!

Very, very much in

Yet another Ludum Dare comes round. Will I finish this time? A lot of us ask ourselves this question. What does it matter, I say? I’m in and I aim to have fun.

My toolset:

* Haxe (http://haxe.org)

* Aseprite (http://www.aseprite.org)

* Sfxr (or one of its ports)

I’m mainly aiming for fluid gameplay that works, instead of fancy art or a killer concept (which have made me fail in the past).

Good luck to everyone, and above all, have fun!

I’m in!

The things: Flixel, FlashDevelop, Aseprite, Bfxr, atrk-bu, VLC (for converting music to MP3).

Self-imposed specifications
– Display: 800×480 (zoomed 400×240).
– No text at all if possible.
– Input: arrow keys, Z (or Y*) and X.
– Palette (no whites nor blacks):

We’ll see where this takes me…

* Because Germany!

At last!

After many years of frustration (3 or 4 really, but whatever), I managed to finish my LD!

I’ve had no more than 24 hours for this one because of work and various other things. But I finally managed to submit an entry! And as a reward I get to play hundreds of awesome games!

I stated in my “I’m in” post that I would abide by all sorts of crazy limitations, but I ended up changing a lot of things over the course of 24 hours. I basically chickened out on what I said in my “I’m in” post. I have had a hard time finishing stuff in past LD and I decided finishing this one was my top priority, so I adapted the technical details of the game as I needed to.

In any case I’m extra-happy and I’m going to eat some pizza.

Cheers!

I’m going in!

It’s that time of the… year? Again! That came out awkward.

My stuff:

Aseprite for the graphics.
Bfxr for the sounds.
SDL 2 for the magics OR I’ll stick with FlashDevelop/Flixel. Depends on time and mood.

Have fun everyone!

I’m in!

Going to try and use some boilerplate code to try and not get distracted by feature creep and the likes of it. I might go full monochrome with this one. We’ll see.

WE’LL SEE.

Change of plans

Seeing as my mom’s birthday is coming up this weekend and also that I might be moving around the end of this week or beginning of the next, I’m going to switch to Flash once again. SO scratch my previous “I’m in” post because here’s the deal:

Flash Develop
Paint.NET
Flixel
Bfxr

As for the music I’d love for once to make my own soundscape with Audacity, but that will only be possible if the theme lets me do something moody and atmospheric. I just can’t compose proper music.
I’d also love to do something like a 2 bit palette from the game Pioneers. But I don’t know if I have the skills. We’ll see.

Mandatory I’m in post

I’m going in! Will be using Unity, Photoshop, and Audacity for SFX.

Let’s see what happens…
