Blocktastic

It’s a block that jumps on blocks. Soon it will be a ninja in a tower.

gfx’ awesome power!

Ninj ya later…

I didn’t have enough free time to get this done, but I’ll finish it up over the next week or so.

I too shall partake

And I’ll really try to finish something this time.

I’ll be developing with Allegro under Linux on my PIII 933, 512MB RAM, ATI Rage Pro 128. Aw yeah, that’s right… try not to be too intimidated.

Still going, but may be late

I’ve been working on the framework most of the weekend, and it has come a long way. The game is simple enough that I should be able to whip together tonight, but I’ll likely not hit the deadline. Mainly this Mini-LD was an excuse for me to develop the new framework. :) And it’s coming along nicely. OpenGL 2D vector graphics, sound synthesis, keyboard/mouse etc.

I think my game idea is pretty keen, so if I don’t hit the deadline I’m still going to finish it up.

If I have time

I’ll make a little gamey something or other. Here’s a bunch of framework sort of files I created for the last mini-LD in place of an actual game.

Don’t expect it to compile at this point. 😉

Need quick music?

I have a prototype of a music app I am working on, and I’m happy to offer it for you LD’ers to use if you like. The only catch is that you will have to capture the output using an audio tool like Audacity, since it doesn’t save to WAV or MP3.

It’s basically a chip-tune monome. Here’s the linky: http://www.madgarden.net/junkz/codez/pixelblipz.zip

And here’s a screenshot of it in action:

Hey, just tried it out then – this is neat. Good idea, assigning different synth patches to different colours.

This is great. Will be using it for my game despite probable player ear distress.

This is really good, too bad there is no export function.

That’ll be really useful ! Thank you for sharing!

Would LOVE to see an expanded version of this tool. Used it in this weekends LD, but the lack of export possibilities made it a bit cumbersome. Export + a way to sequence many of these after each other would make this like SFXR for music for future game jams.
