Howdy

Hello! I have just joined Ludum Dare and I am a proficient programmer in python and pygame, although I know a very small amount in C and C++. I would like to work with someone on a jam sometime.  I am always open to suggestions, and I will most likely make development updates and postmortems for most of my games.

He needed someone to tell him that there was something wrong. Actually, I was about to take down the trophy.

Ion is the one I tried. It is very glitch. The main problem I noticed was character movement and scrolling. I needed to open task manager to close it.

I’m In? (Maybe not)

Yeah, I might do a LD project, but I am afraid that I may not have time. If I do, I’m just warning that it might be really small. So, don’t judge to harshly in the comments if it doesn’t have much polish. If you have a problem with the game, just specify what it is and how you think it should be fixed.

(Either way I will be able to play your awesome games, though.)

Looking at the award section, “don’t judge harshly” coming from you is a bit ironic. I really wish you’d remove that award; it’s rude and it makes you look bad.

Alright, we’ve both abused the trophies section enough, so I’ll say this here. Constructive criticism means criticism that suggests a way the person can improve themselves or their work. You essentially just said “Your games are terrible,” and didn’t say what was so bad about them or how he could improve them, which is NOT being constructive, not even evilly constructive. It’s just rude. If you had said “Your art needs work,” or something like that, it would have been constructive.

Okay, let’s stop this. I’m going to get rid of the trophy I gave you, but could you get rid of the one you gave me.

Oops!

Sorry, I forgot to state my software.

I will be using Python with Pygame for programming.

Paint and my awesome felt pen for art.

Audacity for sound effects and music.

Probably Py2exe to convert the file.

Maybe IcoFX to make an icon for the game.

I might be screwed for LD

It’s the 10-hour mark and I haven’t gotten any collision yet or any graphics, sound, etc. I had only a few hours yesterday. If I don’t finish my product, two things may happen, I post I crappy version, or not at all. On the other hand, there is the chance I will finish. Wish me luck!

I’m Out

Yeah. This was at the bottom of my priorities. I only had a few hours, and I had to work with some new mechanics. I may still post something for the jam though.
