RGBA – Minimalist Jam
We are making a game (RGBA)! This is our first jam as a team (6 ppl), and we are AMPED.
We’re using some of our own libraries for code, and Blender 3d for all our art.
More updates to follow later 😉

We are 5.5 hours in, and we have a character with one animation so far (see below), second animation on the way. We also have our character controller functioning. Making nice progress…
More feedback to follow later, or follow us on http://www.twitch.tv/wahooney with live feed 😀

Late start to day 2 today, but made up for it the day before 😛
We are making some very cool progress, and are focussing on putting some final pieces together today… so stay tuned for a preview. 😉
Our interpretation of the theme is based on the Minimalist art theme. We based our platform tops on Piet Mondrian’s Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow, 1930. The bases of the platforms are influenced by the sculptures of Tony Smith. Using the elements mentioned, we’ve managed to make an arena shooter, with some clever game-play dynamics thrown in. I can’t wait to share this!! 😀

We have a few screenshots for you guys to check out. One of Brushy and the approaching baddies, and one of Brushy painting the baddies to oblivion with his Gattling-gun. This is our last day to get this finished, so back to work…
Lots to do, can’t wait to play all your awesome games after today 😉

We are giving it one more hour! Then we build, upload, and PLAY :D….
… and SLEEEEEP.
We’ve squeezed in a little extra time to prod and tweak our jam entry Lair M.D.
There was plenty of feedback about how difficult the original build was, being both somewhat confusing and giving the player very little time to diagnose the patients. With our post-compo build, we’ve added a much longer timer, and added highlighting on the tools when the player hovers over them. We also added a few more interesting patient files, made the tools easier to put down, and added a visual goodie or two.
You can play the new version by following the Post Compo version link on the LD page, or play and download the newer build here. If you’re going to rate the game however, please do so based on the original jam version.
Let us know if these improvements help, and any more feedback is totally welcome, and awesome!
Hey everyone! We’re a bit late to the posting party but here is an almost end of day update for our entry. We’re making a third person arena shooter! Here are some pretties to show you what we’ve been up to.

Can you smell the earthy aromas of the tree?
We did some basic level layout with abstract shapes. Our current theme is fantasy based, so this will become some form of elder tree with roots.

Panny. Convict #38201
Meet Panny, our player character. This could change in the future if he doesn’t behave though.
That’s it for now. We’ll do some more updates tomorrow.
Happy jamming everyone!
We now have some cool camera controls set up. Players will see different things depending on their state and the state of the world. For now it’s 4 player split screen, but hopefully we’ll be able to pull off a huge stunt, and actually get networking in soon.
