Wrote this up a bit ago forgot to post:
Well its been quite the slow process, and I didn’t get to start till 12Pm today but I just started drawing my tile maps and other assets. I even did a little concept art when still trying to think through the game mechanics.
I got the concept down so far. What I came up with is a Top-down shooter with some puzzle elements.
Working Title: Macrocosm
Platform: PC, Mac
Players: Single
Style: Top down shooter when playing as Cielmi. When playing as Kluger you solve puzzles or avoid/outwit enemies.
Winning: Kill the final boss
Losing: HP gets down to 0 or you run out of time solving the puzzle as Kluger
Reward: Power Ups, skills
The biases for playing two people is that two worlds in parallel universes are merging. This includes people, which has had some odd effects on both ends. The protagonist for example get insight into what the other is doing and actively help each other survive as you start seeing cause and effect reaching out across worlds. While others become violent which make up the enemies in the game.
I may have gone too complicated here but I’ll see where I land with this…
