Ludum dare to everyone

Hi.

I don`t know what time is it at your place but i have 7:20 am and that`s a bit hard to think fast enough now for me.

Anyway, minimalism is a perfect theme for a 48 hours compo. So, i wish you good luck and i wish you a plenty of inspiration. Fistfulls of inspiration.

Hope to upload some interesting stuff here a bit late.

it’s 5:29 where I live, and I’m in the middle of making a game.

ludum minimalis p.1

Ok, few hours passed and here what i`ve got:

  • Basic background and some decorations.
    scr1
  • The most basic mechanics for a player.
  • And the main theme (yes, soon enough, just because i have a feeling of the inner atmosphere) – here.

Ludum minimalis: dinnertime

So. All mechanics are done. Time to have a dinner and then – plot and graphics, graphics and plot. Oh, and a bit of new sounds and music.

Time to borsh!

Ludum minimalis: i`m back. Again.

After a long walk and some ice-cream i`m back and ready to write a new music theme and finish part 2.

This guy don`t let me to start.

What city is that?

Ludum minimalis: falling falling through the floor

scr-p2-2

Actually this means part 2 is done. Those who suspect my stream maybe seen part 1 and 2 together. As for me, it`s nice.

Time to write a new theme for game.

P.S. pretty sure i`ve lost my minimalistic style since morning.

Lupus ludum (ex-minimalis): in progress

animlist

Decided to post something just to say work in progress.
I`m very-very tired of drawing but it looks like i have to draw 2 times more today.

Ludum lupus: done.

I`m really tired but i`m really-really happy – my first game at Ludum dare is done.

This is the story, not actually a game. You`re taking part in some creepy story happened with some man in the winter forest.

P.S. Thanks a lot to you folks for an opportunity. I`m glad to be a part of Ludum dare.

Ludum lupus: resume

So LD26 is over and now i want to resume.

wolfbackThat`s what i love about games: your mind is the main game controller. After playing Ludum Lupus some people say wolf killed them, some people say they killed a wolf.

That sounds really interesting while that game has no win\lose conditions – screen just fades after 8 or 10 attacks. And then you think you`ve killed the wolf or the wolf killed you. Your mind is the prism, and for me it is the main thing to play with in my games.

LD27

Ohsh! Ohsh! Ohsh!

7dRTS! How can i forgot about it. It`s 23:47 in Saint-Petersburg so i still can submit my game i`ve been doing this week. Give me 10 minutes and ok, i will submit it.

lowpontly1

All Your Base!

Hell yeah, done! (as it is, pity)
All Your Base (AYB) is submitted and this is a post about it (All my base belongs to captain obviously).

Без имени-1

I`ve forgot about 7dRTS till 26 of july but this week i`ve been working on this game and it is the RTS so i`m pretty sure i can submit it and have some feedback or advices.

In fact, this is the game, but the idea is to share an app that says “Hey, you can learn how to control space fleet, just try and you`ll love it!”. With an opportunity to download sertificate in PDF. :)

Без имени-2

So, some things i`ll add to this game later will add more “atmosphere” to my idea and make it more convincing (to stay in touch follow me on twitter).

P.S. don`t pay attention to all that “touch the screen”, just click :)

All Your Base – manual

Players have problems with controls in AYB, that`s priceless feedback and here is small manual:

p2
First clicked planet is the source (blue marker).

p1
Second clicked planet is the target (red marker).

To send ships click the source-planet and then click and hold the target-planet.

Note: you can send ships from one source to multiple targets, but you can`t send ships from multiple sources to the one target. Source marker will disappear when the last sent ship will reach the target, then you will be able to choose another source.

Note 2: you can`t send ships from your base to enemy base directly. Use neutral planets.

Advice: keep 5-10 ships on your base.

What time is it? – LD`27 time!

Wow, wow, wow! Ludum Dare 27 is so close!

I`m in again, with the good old super-mega-handfull minimalistic pack:

  • Construct 2.
  • Photoshop.
  • A lot of energy, will, power and GODSPEED.

My LD`26 game Ludum Lupus had 80% coolness and was number 24 in “Mood” cathegory. On LD`27 i`m going to be, i HAVE to be better than me.

And good luck to everyone.

Little note for me: Yozz, you have to do simple games, not a novel, not a big-cool-games, not anything really serious.

Let it start finally

Good morning for those who have morning now (we`re at 9:44 point).
It`s time to start coding. I`ve got a good idea, it`s not strongly relative to “10 seconds”, but it can be. Let`s give it a try.

Good luck to everyone.

Almost 19 hours.

19 hours passed. I was really silent this time. That`s because i`m making a relatively simple game (as i promiced to myself earlier).

I really like the Style! Looking forward to the finished Game.

Routine decisions – done

After 35 hours – SUBMITED.

good morning

You`re an extra pair of eyes for some ordinary guy.

Your goal is to control his thoughts, wills and emotions.
You will have to choose answer and put (i mean drag) it into his brain or keep thoughts away from him in some situations.

deadly boss

Total time is around 30-35 hours.
It is Construct 2 + Photoshop, nothing more.

I really love Ludum Dare. That`s the refrain for this weekend.

brains and farts

P.S. feel free to have fun in the elevator 😉

Routine decisions (in 10 seconds) – postmortem (for a postmortem)

I don’t understand a word “postmortem” here, on the Ludum Dare. Is this means “my game is good but i don’t have any feelings to it and i don’t want to do anything with it, so i will let it die”? Not good for me.

Routine decisions” is now on clay.io (publishers are welcome) and it was on the newgrounds.com (deleted for a reason described in the next block).

I’ve noticed a great difference between people here and people outside ludumdare.com. Those people outside are customers – they probably see an idea but they judge a game by it’s graphics, action, motion… The surface of the game. They can’t see the main, the root, what it has in its substruction. Yeah, that sounds like “i’m an unadmitted genious and nobody can understand how deep my game is”, but no – i’ve just noticed, i don’t care about those who say “heeey, your graphics made in 4 hours is not good enough”. :)

So, the postmortem. No, postmortem for a postmortem – i don’t want to write it down, i don’t like an idea of postmortem. As people in Russia say, “don’t show your fists after the fight” (bad translation, but you may catch up an idea). I had emotions, i had an experience, i spent my weekend in a perfect way.

But what i really want to say is “Thank you, ludum dare, for the way you are. One of the best communities in the world i was a part of”.

LD29

LD29 – in

It`s 10:01 in Saint-Petersburg, so good morning ludum darists (or whatever time of the day you need).
Glad to see an interesting theme – that`s the best new for this time.
I`ve missed previous LD, but still want to have the same fun i had while LD26 and 27.

I`m packed with Construct2 and Photoshop, quite enough for me to make a good game.

Good luck and good ideas to everyone. Lets do it! (or “keep doing!”)
