Not sure where this is going

ScreensSatPM

I don’t really know where my game is going heading into Sunday, but I’ve been having fun experimenting and hopefully I can put together some decent gameplay before the deadline.  So far, my main character seems just as confused as I am :)

Same goal as always… don’t not finish

Forgot if I have to check in or not, so I’m playing it safe.

This is my 2nd LD and 4th or 5th jam.  I have a bad habit of getting caught up in minor details and running out of time before I get to the meat of the game.  So my main goal as always will be to finish something and focus on the substance, not the polish.

Tools:  Unity, PS, Blender, Audacity, sfxr

LD30 Compo Check-in

I’m looking forward to participating in what will be my 3rd Ludum Dare, and probably close to my 10th game jam.  Learning from past mistakes, I’ve cleared out my weekend schedule this time.  I haven’t been doing much game dev lately, but I’ve been doing a lot of general coding and learning, so I’m feeling confident that I’ll be able to throw together something interesting.

I usually like to have a specific goal heading into these, and this time I’m gonna give myself a softball:
During design/development, make every decision based on what seems like the most ridiculous and/or fun thing to do.

For my tools, there’s an off-chance I’ll do something in HTML5 + Javascript, but plan A is to use the following setup:

Engine
Unity3D

Visuals
Photoshop
Blender

Audio
Bfxr
Audacity

Code/Plugins
Unity3D standard code base.
Possibly some first party Unity3D extensions
Possibly Typogenic text extension
Possibly A* pathfinding (probably won’t use this one since it’s more than an extension)

If I can do A* in C, you can do it in C# (or JS or whatever you’re using).
