The world is generated based on a bitmap with elements hardcoded in.
Tile graphics by Bartosz L.
I've done some progress with my game. Everything is done except the levels and the textures.
I'm really happy with the results, I mad more than I have previously planned. Still need more textures tho. Tommorow I'll be making levels together with @samgus. I'll start at 7:00 am GMT + 0100, and i'll be livestreaming on my channel
This morning I faced a lot of problems with the collisions of my player. I was using a bitmap as a level map but it turned out that box colliders weren't working as I expected. Why I was trying to fix it @samgus was finishing a really long map. All of his work (3 hrs) turned out to be useless because I switched to using the tilemap system. Later it turned out that it's better for a game like mine. It was a lot quicker to make and playtest. At the end of the day, we had two maps done. Bartek (he doesn't have an account) finished all textures so the only things left is to do more levels and the music. If I had a full day this would be a rather easy task but unfortunately, I have to go to school tomorrow. Anyways, here are some screenshots.
I think i'm gonna have to fix the UI, becouse it doesn't work on other resolutions...
After a lot of non-slept hours we manished to make up the 9 hours spend on one bug during the second game. Our is glitchy, has no sounds but works and is playable.
Some bugs were fixed.
