DONE!

Trashore_Title.png

Trashore Island is close enough to "done" to publish!
@turbo-torbo and me had a lot of fun even though we didn't have a lot of time for the jam.

Definitely learned a lot (especially concerning scope) during this little adventure!

Play Trashore Island now!

Ludum Dare 45

LD45 was a blast!

Torbo and me opted for a highly chaotic experimental concept.
Somehow landed on this funny backstory as well which really tied it all together :) 2735d.png Come play GODDAMMIT BOB, I TOLD YOU TO WATCH THAT DAMN HYPER CANCER and be confused about the controls with us.

SPOILER

Due to random generation not all levels are winnable. If you find yourself walled off, press R to try the next one :)

And watch that GODDAMN HYPER CANCER FFS, BOB! DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!

Screen Sizes fixed on itch!

If someone wanted to play GODDAMMIT BOB, I TOLD YOU TO WATCH THAT DAMN HYPER CANCER! but couldn't because of our botched screen size: It should be working now!

the main issue was us using the itch-native fullscreen button which meant I had to make sure the html itself had 1920x1080 specified in it - otherwise it cut off the edges and did all kinds of funky jazz. Disabling that and just leaving the unity template-button for fullscreen let me set the itch player size to a manageable 1024x576.

On 16:9 screens fullscreen should be fine, on other resolutions just stay in windowed :)

THANKS to everybody who played so far <3

This is a weird one.
You have a "switch universe" kind of ability which puts you into a "nothing"-version of the level.
All enemies and spikes are gone and you can still move - but can't jump as far and you obviously don't know which spots are safe to switch back anymore.
I was surprised when the game also put a gun in my hands but even that had an interesting way of doing things.
Seems like the bullet grows larger and more powerful the further it travels.
For me personally the game would be great as just a cool puzzly plattformer but it pulls the rest off pretty well too.

Going in Solo

Buddy had to dip out due to work responsibilities - reasonable - but I'll push through!
Wish me luck and see you on the other side :)
