Ludum Dare 50

You can’t stop adventurers clearing a dungeon. But maybe you could delay them?

banner-dungeon-architect4.png

Dungeon Architect puts you in the role of a DM who’s deep in debt and has to keep your players (a bunch of pesky children) entertained for as long as possible. The longer it takes for them to clear your dungeons, the more their parents will pay you!

Your party of adventures changes with each level and so do the available challenges you can place on your dungeon. Explore all the possible combos, think strategically and build the most entertaining dungeons to (hopefully) clear your debt, but, most important of all, have some fun!! ;)

This strange new planet pulsates with pure energy...

capa2.gif

Sometime in the far future, a now Earth-less humanity in search for a new home lands on the PULSAR planet, where the very surface emits enough energy to enable human colonization, but only just. Are you the one who can use this power wisely and make sure humanity survives and thrives in this strange new planet?

Connect energy sources to emerging colonies. Manage resources so you don't run out of building materials. And try not to lose any colonies... This might be our last hope.

How many pulses can you survive? Play our game here, rate and share you high score ⭐

PULSAR Post-Jam patches are out

Here are some of our main fixes and additions: - Added a score counter during the game, so you don't have to wait until the end to see your score.

  • Adjusted the mechanics of the rotating transmitter. In the earlier version, it rotated other energy transmitters and had to be powered to do so, which made it very hard and costly to use, not to mention way too confusing for casual players. So we simplified it to make it rotate itself!

  • We also fixed some sprite issues with the transmitters and level 2 settlements and added a short explanation of how they work in-game, which was the only missing description and caused a lot of confusion.

Making sure the gameplay is understandable has certainly been one of our biggest challlenges with this game, which had a pretty straightforward concept at the start, but ended up becoming quite confusing the more we developed it 😅

If you haven't played PULSAR yet, come check it out here and tell us what yout think!

Come eggsplore the depths of the world with Kika!

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/57/kikas-eggsplosive-descent

In Kika's Eggsplosive Descent, you play as a tiny egg that looked down at the world and wondered… What could be inside that huge egg?

Kika's hectic and perilous descent is filled with surreal backgrounds made entirely in watercolor, depicting her journey from outer space all the way to the center of the Earth.

With only one control (hold spacebar to accelerate downwards), the game is simple to understand but quite challenging to master.

Tenth place on our leaderboard is currently at 8965 points. Think you can beat that score?

Come play Kika's Eggsplosive Descent and leave us your feedback.
