First time we built a (local) multiplayer game. And honestly, I've been having fun with it (perhaps I am biased).

It has grim humour, hectic gameplay and you can play with up to 4 people!

Because we (the ones who made it) can't even finish all 4 levels all the time. Especially the last two levels are quite hard.

We weren't too happy with the theme initially, but honestly, it was incredibly fun by the end.

Of course a lot of games would be about demons/pentagrams/etc. but I think it's good to just lean into that hard sometimes. Also love to see the original ideas everyone came up with during the jam.

Can someone tell me why I am enjoying these gamejams so much?

I mean, creating something relatively simple in such a short time with a bunch of friends. Making art and solving problems and designing gameplay. Also seeing those numbers go up for the number of ratings. Very fun :)

Hey there fellow ludum darians (ludum dari's? ludummers? ludarians?)!

Ludum Dare 55 has been quite the rollercoaster, hasn't it? 🎢 Let me tell you, finding our game idea was like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded – challenging, nearly impossible, but oh-so-satisfying when it finally clicked! Initially we weren't even so sure whether this was a good idea, but while playing we started to believe in it more and more.

So here's Vocatio!

After a whirlwind of brainstorming, we stumbled upon this idea: shape-drawing spellcasting! ✨ Yep, you heard that right (very original and all that)! I was baffled that so many people came up with that idea, but I love each and everyone of your implementations and ways of using it. The creativity out there is top-notch!

Want to know how to use it to fight in our game? Just whip out your magical crayon and draw away! 🎨💥

So, here's to the late-night coding marathons, the endless cups of coffee/tea/assorted drinks, and the sheer joy of bringing pixels to life! If you want, you can try out our game. We'd love to get your feedback on how to improve.

We just finished our 6th game since Ludum Dare 50. (We missed one unfortunately). Everytime it is incredibly fun and surprising what you can come up with in such a short time.

In our game you have the chance to be a kindergarten teacher and wrangle the little critters to not hurt themselves.

Your sole goal as the fearless teacher? Survive the day with your sanity intact and keep the little ones from face-planting into disaster. The kids, bless them, seem to be naturally attracted to danger like moths to a flame. Their favorite activities include:

Running directly towards live wires 🔥 (because why not?) Juggling pointy objects that are mysteriously lying around 🗡️ Jumping off very high places, testing gravity like it's their job 🪂

So, if you don't want to make the news, like this chap did Then do your best and keep the Tiny Creatures alive in Kinder Guardin'!
