I’m planning on participating

Hey guys, my name’s Coosh, and I’m planning on trying to do the ludum dare. But don’t expect much; I might have alot of crap to do, so I might run out of time. But I’m pretty excited.

Getting there

Right now I’m getting at the right direction, I just need some more enemies and all that crap. My game is a platform shooter where you have to defend your island and also make sure you don’t hurt yourself. I’m also copying the concept for the graphics off of a game that I tried to make earlier (but failed). Here’s a pic: Mahgame

So far…

I’m actually getting pretty far in my game, and I’m confident that I’ll have lots of time to finish my game and touch it up tomorrow. And wow, some of these games (most, actually) look really fun and creative, can’t wait to play them!

Here’s some pics:

Flying tanks!!

Flying tanks???!!!!

yo

Lots of fun to be had!!

Welp

I’m pretty much done but I was thinking of adding more enemies and a boss (if you’re crazy enough to last that long). Anyways, here are some pics:

Voting isn’t working for me. Anyone else have this problem?

You need to have javascript enabled. It’s a bad script for showing the stars. I wish it was some sensible code. It doesn’t work with a web proxy at all (visibly).

Holy Crap

This is my first ludum dare, and wow, 15th place??? I’m really excited right now. Thanks to everyone that voted for me and everyone else who contributed and made this competition as fun as it was!

Whooo my second Ludum Dare is going to be awesome!

Wow, I’ve been real busy lately but this date works out perfect. I’m probably going to do it with my friend, that should be alright, right? We won’t help each other out, just hang out and do seperate entries. My game will probably be more awesome and stuff than last time, I’ll see how it works out. The tools I’ll be using are Game Maker, SFXR, and Musagi, maybe PxTone if I can’t figure out Musagi. Well, I look forward to making my game and playing all yours!

Awesome Idea!

I just had an epic idea. For music, what if I did rockin’ chiptunes from Mugasi, mixed with my own personal drumming? This combination will be so awesome that you will taste the double rainbow! So that adds Audacity to my programs list. Whoo I’m pumped for Ludum Dare!

That would be double-awesome.

Meat isn’t good green.

Hey guys, Ima participate in the upcoming Ludum Dare 19. This will be my 3rd attempt, and hopefully my 2nd succesfull one. Heare are some tools I’ll be using:

-Flash Develop – for writing code

-Flashpunk library – for covering up my sucky programming skills

-Musagi – for making bleepy thingies for the backround

-Paint.net – for making art thingies

I think that’s everything. But other than that, I’m looking foward to creating and playing some awesome games! Good luck to all!

I feel like posting a desk shot, so here it is:

Third time’s a charm!

Hey y’all, I managed to get some space in my schedule, so here goes my third Ludum Dare! In the past couple months, I’ve read several books on game design, vastly improved my music skills (here’s an example: http://tinyurl.com/3mpjcej), and somewhat improved my programming skills. Get ready Ludum Dare, Cooshinator is coming!

Here are some tools I’ll be using:

  • Programming: FlashDevelop
  • Engine: FlashPunk
  • Graphics: GIMP 2.6 with crappy (yet effective) graphics tablet
  • Music: LSDJ or FamiTracker

I’ll be using a whole new approach this time, so I hope everything works out. I greatly look forward to both making a game and enjoying everyone else’s games.

Wazzup

Hello, this is Cooshinator. My first Ludum Dare was #17. I was 13 then, and I ended up taking 15th place! Since then I’ve participated in 2 other Ludum Dares, and I now know a lot more about game development than I used to.

Here are the tools I plan to use:

-IDE: Flashdevelop

-Engine: Flashpunk

-Music: lsdj

-Graphics: Paint.net

-Level creation: Ogmo Editor

Wish you all good luck! I am excited to exercise my creativity and intelligence in such a fun manner, and I am excited to play all these great games!
