WITH 15 MINUTES LEFT ON THE CLOCK MY COMPO SUBMISSION IS DONE!

My very first compo submission - Monuments - is finally done! Will you stand up to the challenge and let your nation ascend? Screenshot.png Fight your foes and build up the village which will inevitably get destroyed as you achieve your ultimate goal of erecting 4 magical monuments! Screenshot.png My god, this was a whole lot of work... Hope you like what you see!

Monuments version 1.1 - BUGFIXES OH GOD

There were a couple of bugs that found their way into version 1.0, the most noticeable being traitors getting locked in place upon spawning. That one, along with a couple less annoying ones have been fixed.

This version also brings a couple of little cosmetic improvements!

Peasants now have lines that match the current situation! Featuring lines such as: "These monuments sure look nice" and "They are plotting against you"

Monuments are now sparklier! Look at it, such beauty! Also, yellow and teal text is relatively more readable now!

More sound FX when you do stuff!

Have you checked out Monuments yet?

No? Well, that's a bummer.

Here it is in case you do want to check it out

It's a little arcade-ish RTS. People say it's complicated but you'll probably get the hang of it once you play a couple of times. So build up those monuments!

Or not. It's your choice after all.

A nice day we're having

I'm gonna play some more of your games today once I'm back home from school ;)

Lobby/Shop for Heart Miner is now complete!

It sure took me a while, but I'd say it was worth it. You can buy upgrades and convert Heart SHards you find during mining into full hearts. Only thing that's missing is a way to actually win the game... and maybe some more obstacles so it's not too boring

And with a bit under 2 hours left, Heart Miner is finished!

It's not nearly as polished as my previous compo entry, but it's still not that terrible by my standards!

Come check it out if you feel like it! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/$151762

And if you don't, well, I don't blame you

Also, it's 1 AM over here so I'll be clocking out, good luck y'all!

I will give your games a shot, just post them in the comments!

Seeing how the time is almost up... Why not bump your rating count, even if only by one? Give me all your games, I'm down to play and rate them all! ...unless I already played them, in which case, well, tough luck!

While we're at it, here's my game, HEART MINER

A Jam full of progress

Well, this LD was the best one I've participated in so far!

Granted there's only been four, but it's still a whole load of progress for me as a game dev and as a jammer

Screenshot 2019-05-21 22-38-31.png This year marks my highest placement yet in every single category (I haven't tried my hand at humour just yet, but come October...)

This jam was also the first time I scrapped the whole first day idea and made the entire game in slightly over 24 hours!

And not to mention, it also marks the first time I ever got procedural generation to work consistently in a game of mine!

So overall, I don't know about you, but I'd consider this an absolute win!

Oh yeah, also, since I recall a tradition of posting wordclouds of feedback you get on your game, here's mine

Here's to another great jam in October!

Time to vent haha

I'm throwing in the towel this time - I've been sitting on the theme for the whole 1st day and nothing good or feasible for me came to mind. It feels like I'm forcing myself and it's no fun, so I'll just give this one up and try again next time. Hopefully 46's theme will lend itself to more inspiration on my part!

I hope all of you guys have a wonderful time, though!

There were 8 hours left and I decided I wanted to participate after all

So I was initially planning to sit this one out, seeing how the theme was complete ass to my uncreative mind... BUT 64 hours into the jam an idea struck and I had to make it!

Screenshot 2019-10-07 22-23-26.png

Here's "There were 8 hours left and I decided I wanted to participate after all: the game" where you run around killing slimes on a procedurally generated stage, looking for artifacts of power!

footnote: this one is based on my upcoming game and is using a couple of recolored assets from it, all made by me as fast as possible, though

I wanna play some games but I'm lazy

I wanted to play some jam games and didn't feel like going through the game tab. Give me links to your games (and your favorite game from this jam, if you have one) in the replies!

Here's mine!

2 hours left, huh?

Do you guys have any games that are still under 20 ratings? I can play and rate them, just give me a link!

Let's pump up those numbers!

What the ever-loving--

Screenshot 2019-10-30 21-12-22.png

Double digits in FOUR categories? That's a first! I bet that would've changed if I got more ratings, but I'm flattered anyway! Holy cow... Well, see you all in April for LD46, and let's hope I don't go the same route as this one and actually think up some interesting mechanic instead of "grindy platformer with lots of enemies"

Here's the link to my game, in case you're curious

Last-minute rating!

If your game is missing those last couple of ratings, feel free to drop a link to it under this post - I'll try my best to rate them all!

Also, come check out my game MEGADRILL if if you feel like it - I'm also missing like 4 ratings https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/megadrill
