Well, here goes nothing

Or preferably something. This is my first Ludum Dare, but because of school tests coming up, I might not be able to participate if I can’t come up with anything.

The tools that I’m going to use is the Microsoft XNA 4.0, for windows, FarseerPhysics,  GIMP for art, but I’m not yet sure what for sound creation.

Ideas that sound good.

So the best Idea I have so far is it’s dangerous to go alone, take this cloning device.

Don’t know where that will lead yet…

I’m giving up

On my graphics. So I’m going to go for a library that I wrote for graphics recently. The zip is at this link.

Finished With Character movement

So here’s what the game looks like so far.

Not much, but I can start worrying about guns and enemies now.

Second Time Round

This is the second Ludum Dare I am going to try, and this time I going to see if I can use this to learn D and the derelict framework.

Resources:

DMD, Visual D, Derelict. I probably won’t get very far this time around, because this is the first time I’m going to try making a game is something as low as D, but I hope that I get good ideas for later implementation.

Progress

I’m making it. This time I’ve gotten as far as to add sounds, textures, and a word writer. Time to go to sleep before the final crunch tomorrow…

Third times the charm

So I’m going to be going at this again. I’ve got 16 days to get my custom engine up and running again. Hopefully I can do it so that I’ll have an engine to post for any D programming language enthusiasts out there.

In

Definitely In

Hopefully In

Optimistically In

I’m happy to be attempting another Ludum Dare. This time is going to be helping me try and get a handle on my homemade game engine in D again. Other resources are going to be the standard GIMP for pixel art, and that one program for random noises.

What was it again? I’m sure I’ll remember tonight…
