Ludum Dare 54

First Ludum Dare!!

Ahoy!! I intended to compete earlier this year during the April Jam, but my Uni had finals then.. I'm planning on using my favorite tiny game engine, pico8, for the jam. I'm an avid Godot Fan but also because of Uni I haven't been able to mess with 4 enough. I'm excited to get another project rolling, please check out my other work at https://brimlessgames.itch.io/ if you feel inclined, or the pico 8 engine itself! Let's Jam!!

Ahoy!

Hello everyone! My name is Leo, and I am a game dev studying computer science. My favorite engines are Pico8 because of it's cute scale and ability to prototype little projects (and the 8bit scale helps my programmer art not look so bleh, but talented pixel artists can really make some neat stuff!!) and the Godot game engine. I haven't used Godot 4 yet, but I'm an old hand with 3, and I've really enjoyed it's structure as well as open source nature. I am inspired by Space! My favorite movie is Interstellar, and while I'm not a die hard Musk enthusiast I believe that exploring the stars would be both terrifying and exciting. I also like the Sea! I've been fascinated with the ocean for as long as I can remember. I haven't learned how to sail yet, but hopefully once that Midlife crisis hits I'll be onboard a ship, sailing around the world.

I've made a few small game projects, you can play them on my itch.io page here: brimlessgames.itch.io. I made 24/7 Support this summer and I'd like to finish it someday, but such is the life of one in uni.

Thanks for reading, and good luck on the jam!!

I'm in!

Super excited to jam!! Engine: Pico8

Another Try at Ludum Dare

Being a college student doesn't leave a whole lot of room for Jamming, unfortunately. My last weekend attempt in Fall of 23 got sidelined due to homework projects, and I've got to travel this weekend so I'm hoping I can get at least a few hours in. My weapon of choice is Pico 8 (but Godot is my backup if I want to go for a more text based adventure). I'm joined by my girlfriend, and I think a Jam might be a fun way to introduce her to more programming, but she is a very accomplished artist and writer too. Good luck have fun everyone!
