Paralax Scrolling and Tilesets

I love how much adding a Paralax scrolling background to a game can add.  And it’s one of the simplest things to implement.

My, my! Where has the time gone?

Unfortunately, we just got done grooming our backlog and realized we’d have to cut some features we really wanted.  Such is life in the dare!  Here’s our awesome title screen, though!

Adding all-important context!

An opening cutscene!  Adds some context to the game and describes how to play.

What better to shift than shapes?

Hey all!

If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our game!  It’s about a shapeshifting blob that has to make its way through an obstacle course at the request of its teacher!

We're in!

The wife and husband duo is back at it again for our 3rd team entry, and my 8th entry overall. The usual toolset will be used, including Phaser, Gimp, Sublime Text, Chronolapse, Github, ect! Looking forward to seeing what everyone can make!

Virtual keyboards are pretty nifty.

Game complete!

This is easily the fastest I've ever completed a game for a Dare before. I'll be using the remaining time for some polish and number tweaking, it doesn't quite feel right yet.

Give the game a playtest here: http://www.cudascubby.com/ld39/

Broken keys and tripped breakers! Oh My!

This gets quite hard quite fast! Would appreciate any feedback!

Worldbuilding!

Even a little arcade style game like this could use a little of it!

Going live with some LD39 games!

I'll be playing and rating LD39 games for the next few hours. Come and hang out!
