Vampire Summoners: short, fun and approachable
I joined the LD55 with two goals in mind: * check how much stuff I can build in three days; * come up with a short, fun, and approachable interactive experience.
Speaking of the latter I'd chosen to fuse together Vampire Survivors and Overwatch. The resulting game is a typical top-down survival action with activated abilities. And a twist. There's always a twist on those Ludum Dares. It's you (yes, YOU!) who summons the endless waves of enemies on your head! The more enemies are summoned and alive, the more points you get for killing an enemy. Each time you click the RMB, the number of enemies is doubled.
And hence, Vampire Summoners* was born!
* not a single vampire was harmed during making or playing this game.

So Vampire Summoners is really an action-based test of how you evaluate your skill. Do you underrate your skill and be short of score points, or overrate and die? Hey, with this approach you don't even need a difficulty level! That's you (yes, YOU!) who is your worst enemy.
The game meta is represented by the score that's saved so you could challenge yourself.
And look, I even added tips on what buttons to mash! Lucky you!
