Toobi doobi doo

Hey, I'm in for the time I don't actually remember. Am I so old?

There were a couple event previously that I didn't submit, but I was with you guys.

This time will do my best to finish the game. Will be using tools that I use in my daily work that should help: * PixiJS * Spritesheetjs * CreateJS SoundJS * TweenMax

Also I prepared a lots of snacks.

Good luck everybody and have fun.

Idea change in first two hours

After drawing first sketches, realized that Mosquito life is a bad idea for a game.

I want to do exploration in a small world.

That's why I changed idea and working on a Potions.

Some prototype to show

Nothing special. But finally I have working prototype.

Good code base is set now. And graphics getting better every time.

After 3 no submitions got a result.

Finally, I've managed to finish the game.

It is short but it is working.

I've managed to cover almost all the aspects of game making.

Previously I was just focusing on coding.

  • sound and music
  • bitmap font from scratch
  • sprites and hero
  • clean code base
  • game design and idea generating

Lesson learned, I need to focus on gameplay and features more.

And improve my skills in drawing and music making.

* Wait for post compo, I've plan crafting and language puzzles*

The timelapse videos are live

You are welcome to play and rate my game Potions recipes

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/potions-recipes

I have uploaded timelapse videos.

What's cool about timelapse videos you can make retrospective analysis.

For example I spend 3 hours on game resize. That is not very important for such a small game.

Also I was doing a lot of music writing instead of core game play.

But anyway, it's good that I have these videos.

This time I will try to finish compo in 24 hours, because my mom will come to visit me. Will see if I have time to polish game on Sunday.

Lesson learned from last LD, with try to start small.

Tools: - JavaScript, PixiJS, RequireJS, some code from last Ludum Dare - PikoPixel, Blender - GarageBand - and screwdriver.

Some progress so far

Not much but, I finally managed to finish an isometric map with cursor. Screen Shot 2017-07-29 at 22.05.07.png

I'm glad that I've got a little vacation after passing the probation period. But it is collided with LD jam. It's once again I will be travelling during ldjam.

I will try to make a small game. This time REALLY a small game!!!

Will probably use: Blender Pixijs

That's the plan.

Will use * Pure JavaScript * Blender * GarageBand * Krita or Gimp

Progress so far

Working on core game play. Draw grass texture.Screen Shot 2019-04-27 at 20.14.48.png

Finish the compo game

Submitted my game.

It was tough two days. Please, play and review my game. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/use-your-heart

It is short as didn't have time to add more levels Screen Shot 2019-04-29 at 03.04.06.png

By the way, does anyone knows why I can't rate other games?

Ludum Dare 46

I'm iiiinnnnn!

I don't remember how many LD jams I've participated already.

But this time I will have a day off to better prepare for upcoming jam.

Tools I'm gonna use: - KTX and Kotlin - Krita, Blender - GarageBand - Tiled (depending on the game)

This Easter weekend I'm preparing tools. It will be a lot of fun!

Nice progress so far

I'm finally made some progress in Engine. Some art is also done.

I'm in again

This time I'm really not sure which tools I'm going to use.

Last time I used Kotlin and created a Java game, but people had problem downloading.

This time it will be probably a web game or Unity game? But maybe depending on the theme I will reconsider.

So for programming I will have one of: - Unit / Rider - IntelliJ Idea CE / Kotlin - TypeScript / Pixi.js

Tools that will not change: - Blender - Krita - GarageBand

This time I've got Wacom for Art and Midi keyboard for music.

Good luck everyone!!!

Strong Yes!

I'm definitely in for the anniversary LD48!

Will try to use all my previous experience to prepare better and go small. Really want to finish something more playable.

Probably will use: * PIXI.js * TypeScript * Krita / Blender * Ableton Light / GarageBand

Let's pick the most creative theme!

Ludum Dare 49

I'm in for a challenge

I will focus as a last time to finish the game on Saturday. It was very satisfying to do that.

Small scope. Simple Idea. No reinventing wheel.

Probably will use Kotlin to do a Multi platform project

So: - Kotlin / LibKTX - Blender / Krita - GarageBand / Ableton

Let's jam!

Ludum Dare 50

I'm in for Compo.

It looks like I'm finishing a game every second jam. Let's at least make it consistent.

According to schedule I should be able to create game using: * Pixi.js / LibGDX(libKTX) * Typescript / Kotlin * Krita for Art * GarageBand or Ableton for music

See you all there. Good luck and have fun!

Some progress

It is not much but I'm getting there.

I'm in on for the Playdate

Haven't participated for a while in the LD Jam, but this time I want to create a game in Lua or C

Will be creating a game for Playdate, but only in simulator as delivery to Europe is delayed :(
