LD33

Hi. New to community!

I was wandering if it’s possible to make good enough entry games using only free versions of software (e.g construct 2 free-version, etc…).?

Also, is there free software or free software versions that is good enough for ludum dare?? Thanks.

p.s new to programming, been learning c++ and sdl as a hobby, heard c++ is really hard for doing ludum dare…

If your idea is pretty simple, and more reliant on the art, I’d think the free version of Construct 2 would be fine. It gets pretty limiting when you want to make something a bit “bigger” though.

Hi, and welcome!

Is there ludum dare teams, done over the internet??

I am a new game programmer. Learning C++ and SDL. I plan to participate in the next ludum dare’s.

I was wandering if game jam teams are formed over the internet? If so, how would I find a team to join?

I considered compo, but I have absolutely no creativity or imagination. So, I need to work with others who can make the art and come up with ideas…

I was on a team over the net. Two of us here in the U.S. and one in Sweden.
