I’m In…

My team and myself are in for the first time! We will be participating in the JAM, and are looking forward to it. There are 5 of us participating. We are all college students or recent graduates, and look forward to this experience and challenge. Currently we plan on using:

Flash
Photoshop
Wave Pad Audio Editor
Possibly PyxelEdit

As this is our first time, these may change a little. Again, I look forward to the competition, and the inevitable boon to our overall experience and skills this will provide us as individuals and as a team.

WOOHOO! Let’s do this!

Wompotron 9000, Harbinger of Doom

The Bladed Cyber Technologies team here is making good progress on this challenge. So far, we have most of the art done, and are trucking away at the programming (again, there are 6 of us working on the project).

You may not be wondering what the game is about, but I will tell you anyway. It is more than just a llama punching robot, crappy dubstep, and pixel art. It is about love, as nothing can replace the love of an army of kittens!! But, Hades has taken all the wee kittens and that simply doesn’t sit well with our misunderstood colossus.

Wompy here will descend into the pits of hell to get them kittehs. And since we are still working on game mechanics and such, here are a couple of screens for you viewing insanity:

And now that our collective delirium has subsided slightly, we made something that may or may not represent what a part of the game may or may not look or not look like:

So, myself, I have been fueled by wheels of cheese and coffee, while the rest of the team has been ingesting beer, pills, foods made by loving womenz, and gummi bears that talk entirely too much.

I hope we meet the deadline, I have high hopes as does the rest of the team! If not, we will still finish the game and post it on our website. Good luck to the rest of you!

Can’t Submit Game ‘Empty Promises’

Form errors and such. We have been done with the game for hours. Can’t submit due to ‘form errors’ which is ambiguous. Multiple members have tried, no go. Consider this my intent to submit.

Here’s a video, enjoy, I guess:

It’s not too late to download firefox, chrome, safari, IE… One of them has to work. I just submitted with chrome a minute ago.

My 4th LD! I am ready!

Hello everyone! Over the past few years, and after a few LD's under my belt, I have grown in power. My colleague has also grown in power. An artist the likes of which I am proud to be associated with. With our powers combined, we will learn a new game engine (as we use LD as a learning event) and will achieve new personal heights.

I look forward to this challenge, and I can't wait to see the truly awe inspiring games everyone will create!

We're In!

Bladed CyTech is in again. The lightweight rookies in this corner! I believe this is our third LD, and each one we do, we get better at our craft. I can't wait to see what comes of this one!

Our tool list is simple, but we are trying Unity for the first time this time. Before is was always GameMaker Studio. Wish us luck!

Tools: Dropbox Tortoise-SVN Unity Photoshop LMMS

Game Complete, and I am beat! AVARICE

Hey guys, my 4th LD here with my buddy Fowler. This is our best one yet. We made everything from scratch, except for an A* addon in Unity. However, I never made anything in Unity before, so...we went a little too big like usual, but we pulled it off, I think. Here is a quick demo video. I will get to voting on other people's games after I have rested. Whew.

We're in, again!

Greetings and salutations everyone! Myself and @drekler are back at it again, except this time we are bringing on some new talent! I welcome @equisstenchman and @squiglypig to their first jam. I can't wait to get in there, tear it up again, and see what amazing things everyone comes up with.
