Last minute team up?

Couldn't decide whether I wanted to join alone or find a team, so with the start of the game jam approaching, I decided that I might as well try.

I'm primarily a designer, with enough experience with pixel art and developing games in Unity to just barely manage everything by myself. So I'm not picky - any skillset is appreciated. And while I'm not expecting many people to be interested, just in case I'm going to say that I'm aiming for a team size anywhere between 2 and 5 people.

First ever update at the end of another 1st day

I took part in the Ludum Dare a few times before, but I never made any posts until my game was complete. I decided to change that this time. And while I don't want to show the gameplay before it gets proper graphics (which is what I'm taking a break from making right now), I can show the main character, who I am quite proud of. output-onlinegiftools.gif It's nothing special, but I'm not an artist, low resolution pixel art is pretty much the only thing I'm decent at, and this character has the benefit of being fairly easy to animate (It only took me two tries to make a walk cycle I was happy with, which is as good as it gets).

Slow progress

Well, this isn't going as well as I'd hoped it would, I'm really hoping tomorrow will be more productive than today was. Still, I at least have something that can be wrapped up and submitted, so I'm not doing THAT badly. I do have a very unstable tower after all. LD 49_001 (2).gif I'm still not used to showing people my work in progress, so I don't even know what I should put in this post, but oh well.

Looking for a team to join.

If anyone is looking for a designer, or a unity developer, or both, I'd be interested in joining a team. I have a few years of experience in both of these fields, plus I can make some simple pixel art if needed.

A bit disappointed

I'm not usually a person who complains about the theme, but this time the final voting round had so many themes I found more interesting than "Delivery". But complaining won't change it, so I guess I need to just get going and try to come up with something.

I'm out.

I just lost almost all the sprites I've made because of a crash. I could probably look into recovering them, or just remake them much faster, as I spent a lot of time experimenting and not that much actually drawing, but I quite frankly don't care about this theme enough to go through the effort. box.png

Just the basics

Between quite a bit of real life stuff, and a headache that was extremely distracting, I got very little done on the first day. But some progress was made nonetheless - mainly the basic movement, turn management and fog of war.

I'm going for a combat system inspired mainly by Cardinal Quest 2 mechanics, though attempting to make it more dynamic - as much as turn based combat can be.
