LD games you should play!

I have now played alot of different games, and they were all pretty good. Good job everyone!  I had a great time making my own game, and now its fun to see what you have made!

The games below are some of my current favourites, but there are alooooot more good games out there. I wish I had time to test all 1400 games…

Tiny Worlds
In this game you travel among planets, trying to not get lost into space. The graphics are smooth and plain, and the music is super great and well made.

Aether
This game is a pretty short platform-style-game, but I enjoyed every second of it. The gameplay is good, the graphics are just pretty and I just loved the feel of the game.

dLeIaFtEh
Im still wondering if that really is the name of this game…
The graphics are very smooth and nice, so is the gameplay The game also has this awesome mood, it made me happy.

So, make sure to check these out! I would also love to hear about games you have found that you like: comment or make another post!

LD 40

Just finished my game, The Burdened Raid!

Ludum Dare is always a blast!

The game is a retro dungeon crawler, made with LibGDX. First time trying 3D for Ludum Dare, but it went pretty well. Like many traditional games in this style I stuck to 2D maths mostly which definitely helped!

Here's screenshots of two of the four areas in the game:

My interpretation of the theme can be seen in the second picture: the more items you have the more they cover up the screen. Inventories with 100s of items aren't very realistic, are they? :P

Hope everyone else had a great gamejam! Now I gotta stitch the timelapse together, always cool to see afterwards! :)

Making of The Burdened Raid - Timelapse!

The Burdened Raid is a retro dungeon crawler and my entry for this Ludum Dare! The game was made using LibGDX using IntelliJ, Paint.NET, BOSCA CEOIL and a few more tools.

This is the first time I've made a 3D game for a LD, it was tons of fun and a great learning experience! I recorded a timelapse using chronolapse of the whole process, here's the video:

There's also a link to the full sourcecode on the entry page if you wanna dive into the code. It did get kinda messy towards the end, but should still be somewhat readable :grinning:

The Burdened Raid - Playthrough

Hey everyone!

I've uploaded a full playthrough of my retro dungeon crawler, The Burdened Raid. The game was made using LibGDX, and was the first time I tried a 3D game for Ludum Dare. It went pretty well, and as always was a great learning experience!
