I’m in!
This is my first Ludum Dare and I’ll be using GameMaker Lite and Paint.NET. I haven’t coded professionally for a while so I’m looking forward to creating something simple but polished

There’s my baby daughter’s school mate’s 1st birthday on Saturday and other parental duties, but I’m excited to try!
I’m using Unity3D, Paint.NET and bfxr.
I finally have time to write some code. I would really like to release something playable this time round. Working in GM:S
Calling artists and artsy types. Please can you give me some advice on how to ground my obstacles (the gears in the image below) with the background. They look like they’re floating on top. I tried to make them a bit blurry but that didn’t seem to help.
Thanks in advance.
I saw the legend explaining D, R & C but what’s the number outside the parentheses?
And what does D indicate? Should it be high/low/other?
I think I got a cracker of an idea for this theme
My wife agreed to give me more time for this jam! Still need to figure out how to scope my project better.
Using Unity3D and Paint.NET
I managed to get roughly 2 hours in before my kids woke up and needed attention. Thankfully now my wife has taken them on her deliveries so I can get back to work.
Really wish I could watch some of the live streams (especially @quill18) but it's just too distracting when I'm working on my own title.

~~Still can't figure out how to share pics :slight_frown:~~
I'm using a time tracker to monitor how much time I've spent this comp cause I divide my time between this and family.
I'm very happy with how this game is coming along

Still a work-in-progress but it's getting towards evening, kids bath time and dinner, so I wanted to upload something in case I never get the chance before the end of the comp.
Sadly it's missing any kind of challenge as my brain went derp after I got the mechanics working. My only ideas are a meteor strike and lack of oxygen. Suggestions welcome!

I didn't plan to be because it's my 3-year-old son's birthday this weekend but I was inspired by Lucas Pope's talk along the lines of "make the mundane interesting" and theme led me to make a shop's checkout simulator.

The user interface is bollocks and I'll work on that as soon as I get the end of game scoring working. Hopefully it'll be intuitive what to do.
Game loop complete with score. Now working on puzzle mutators and making the UI kick-ass.

Suggetions how to make a soundtrack using Bosca Ceoil welcome!
I'm making a pong/tennis-style game where you must "keep the rally alive" for a high score.
The opponent moves between designated points so the player must aim at them. But the precision required is too great and the aim is subpar (currently) so I'm going to update the opponent to move towards the ball if its close enough.

Please tell me if my instructions make sense for my game https://fengol.itch.io/super-rally
It should be similar to most tennis games where you hold the stroke and aim before releasing as the ball approaches.
I would also appreciate any feedback on the difficulty and what I could add to keep it interesting.
