Today I made the following: player controls and gun, enemies that shoot player,enemies can die, and deal damage to player,music!!!,art for player and enemies. To-do list for tomorrow:menus and UI,SFX,particles maybe?,enemy waves,random pickups every 10 seconds!!!(they can upgrade you or the enemies),something else that I forgot.
It seems like a lot but hopefully I can get it all done tomorrow. This has been quite fun, good night y'all!
Rise and grind
I was going to import my music into the game and it broke. I was making it on godot 4 beta, that's why you don't make games on beta versions. Probably gonna try to make it work on a stable version.
Just a little bit more, ha... ha :(
The game is basically done, time to export the builds and pray that it doesn't break.

I've added and fixed some stuff and I was wondering when is it ok to publish a post-jam version of my compo game. Is it after the rating of games ends?

I've been kinda working on a post-compo version of my game, here's a list of changes:
-time until the pickup spawns as a bar on the screen;
-blood from enemies;
-camera shake;
-fixed the bullet damage kinda being weird;
-awesome mega cool menu art;
-cooler buttons;
-can't hold the gun upside down anymore;
-more upgrades(you can get more bullets to fly out your gun :0);
-probably something else i forgot;

Some things I am yet to do:
-Update character art and animations
-Better sfx
-maybe some more upgrades(enemies shooting a few bullets :0000000)
Spent a bit trying to add leaderboard to the post-compo version of my game, yeah I'm still working on it, I'll release it soon hopefully! If you're interested it's done using SilentWolf, a backend service for Godot!

Hello! Just about 6 hours until the results, I want to say thank you to everyone who played and left feedback on my game. This was my first time on Ludum Dare and hopefully won't be the last.
I know I most likely am not going to get a good place but I don't really mind that, I joined to have fun and see if I can make a working game in just 48 hours and I achieved that!
Excited to see the top games :>
Oh btw there is more coming to my game, will share soon hopefully, until then check out the post-ludum version :)
