Ok c’est parti!

Hello fellow L-darers, I’m pretty glad to join in!

We’re spending the week-end with my friend Romain (AnnaGavaldaKedavra) at my place in Paris and are going to (try to) make a game each, cute dishes and cocktails! (Obviously more of the latter).

This is my first LD and hopefully also my first finished game. I would have liked any other theme (this one was definitely my least wanted!), but anyway, let’s play the game!

After a really little sleep (we waited up to 3:00 Am GMT+1 to know the theme) I may have an idea..

Good Luck!

Idea found, dev begun

Ok i finally got this idea directly inspired from this Borgès’s novel, “The House of Asterion” (http://ddm.ace.ed.ac.uk/project-files/asterion/story.html), that sticks pretty much with the theme and the kind of universe I like.

So i’m planning to create a simple kinda dongeon game, where you may have to find the way out (or not?)…

It’s already pretty demanding for me so the gameplay’s gonna stay really simple I guess!

BTW i’ll use the flixel library.

à toute, bises

Wooh that’s something!

firstAssetOkay, seems ridiculous but yet, i’m really glad i made this!

I have a basic maze prototype with colliding walls! Could you believe that? my player doesn’t go INside the walls!

The game’s gonna be a frightened heroes’s hunt by the Minautor that you incarnate without actually knowing it.

The goal’s gonna be to escape a big big house, sometimes accidentally killing armed people with red strings on their trail…

Next step: shipping some fresh ” heroes” to populate those empty corridors

Second Update

lastupdate I’ve  just added the hero/enemy prototype and the red threads they let on their way.

The graphics are just placeholders for the moment (I’ll try to make something that looks finished if i still have the time to do it once the gameplay is implemented!)

Asterion (the Minotaur) will try to find its way in the bigbigHouse and locate the hero apprentices by following their trail.

Actual gameplay will be much more close up.

Next Step: intimidation/massacre behaviour

Game finished!

Hello there,

I finished my LD26 entry : Multiplied Screens.

Once again, the experience was awesome!!

Cheers

IN

Last time it didn’t quite go well, but i’ll definitely do it better this time (meaning i’ll upload at least something — a screen title, a menu, whatever).

I’ll certainly be using some of those tools :

Unity 3d 4.2.

Illustrator.Photoshop.

Ableton Live.

3ds Max.

Netbeans.

Good luck to everybody, have fun!

Additionnal constraints !

While writing this, We just learned the official theme but we drew a few more constraints for this session, and here is what came out :

LEVELLING (as core game mechanic) / INDIRECT CONTROLS (as controls obviously) / and ONLY TRIANGLES (as display limitation)

And we can now add the official one;  ENTIRE GAME ON ONE SCREEN …

Ok, we wanted hardcore, let’s get hardcore !

Once again, we’d enjoy to hear from you if you chose to pick additionnal constraints too !

Let’s get to wo(sleep)rk,

happy LD!
