We're in!
It's 7 o'clock in Denmark and we just woke up. This time I'll be jamming with my girlfriend, which should be interesting. We dont really appreciate the theme, but I'm sure we'll find an interesting angle :).
Good luck out there!

So its been approximately 7 hours since we started and we kinda blanked on ideas so havent started until now... Oh well we have a basic idea now and the code is a flowing.
The idea is kind of "Finding Waldo" in that you talk to people and then you go somewhere else and see them again. So it's based on the "It's a small world"-saying that one might use when meeting someone in an unexpected place... Eh, we're not totally happy with it but it'll suffice. Maybe when we start writing the dialogue it's gonna start feeling a little special :).
Hopefully you have better luck, and if not then maybe you can take solace in the fact, that you're not alone :). Cheers!
Hey, we just need 3 more ratings to get a score! We would be so happy, if you'd take the time to rate.

Thank you!
I'm joining at physical location (KADK, Denmark) for the first time ever. I also have an exam on December 6th, which means I'll have to study just a bit during the jam. It's gonna be an odd one, but I'm still reaaally excited to jam :) (some things don't change I guess).
My goal for the jam is: * Something weird and different, * Something relatively small (so I can study :/)
Tools: * Visual Studio Code * Unity (C#) * PhotoShop * Illustrator * Aseprite * Twitter * Skype * File Explorer * Google Chrome * Word * Notepad * Geogebra * TI-Nspire
This will be my 11th LD, but it will be my first time participating from another country. My friend and I are currently travelling the US, but we have decided to take a little break from the chaos to make some games! We're currently borrowing a dorm-room and will be spending the weekend working in various study-rooms.
Tools - Unity - Visual Studio - Blender - Aseprite - Yarn - PhotoShop - Windows File Explorer - Notepad
Currently hoping for the "Combine incompatible genres"-theme, because we think it'd result in some fun games. Here's a few examples I'd love to see tackled by all you creative minds. - Romance & Racing - Text-based Shooter - Rhythm Text Adventure - Stealth & Romance - Platformer & Visual Novel
I don't know, just something to think about :).
Good luck and greetings from Mizzou!
-2 Danish guys, who are not students.
Don't wanna share your ride? Just push of the freeloaders!

After a very hectic upload process, our game is finally done and ready to play! We're off to bed, since it's very late here, but we're looking forward to playing all your awesome games .
In Hitch Bird, you play as bee-eater bird, hitching a ride on an elephant. The elephant flushes out your prey, but you’re not the only hungry bee-eater around. 🐘🐦🐝
I was going to be moving to another part of the country December 1st, but my landlord said it'd be okay to move in tomorrow instead, so I'm all in!
I have a math exam, that I'm ill-prepared for on tuesday, but I'm too hyped to not join.
This won't be the first time I try to study and jam at the same time, but hopefully it'll be the first time I manage to successfully do both (I do not learn from my mistakes).
Also switching up the usual toolkit, because my university teaches java and I thought I might as well be studying while jamming, so I'll be using: OpenGL, LWJGL, Java, Box2D in the Eclipse IDE. All of it new to me :).
I mean really? It's lazy! There were even some good themes in the running this year. Unconventional traveling would've been cool. Oh well, let's try to morph this theme into something interesting :). Good luck out there!
Alright, I had 3 very ambitious goals for this jam. To 1) study for my midterms, 2) make a game and 3) make it with OpenGL/LWJGL which I've never used before.
Needless to say, I failed.
I spent about 4-6 hours each day studying, which left only a small bit of usable time pr day to mess with OpenGL, which refused to let me do the things I wanted it to do.
I didn't have a lot of ideas for this theme (it sucks!), but I knew that LWJGL would allow me much more direct control over windows and such, which is hard to get in Unity, which I normally use. Keeping that in mind, I thought about making a game, where the window was an essential aspect of the gameplay.
IDEA: * The world is all static on your monitor, but you can move your window around to get a glimpse of it. * Gaining HP (from killing an enemy) would increase your window size, while losing HP would decrease it. * You would have to move the window around to move your sword. * You could get another window with a shield in it, that would be used to block enemy attacks.
Here's what I actually got done. Damn you OpenGL!
I swear he blinks with every hit, the gif just cut out some frames
So, my janky mess of code, never turned into a game, but I'm just happy I managed to learn something new. And isn't that what gamejams are all about anyway? :).
ALSO YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT! JUST GO! LEAVE ME! YOU CAN DO IT!

Make sure Schrodinger gets his cat. Whether or not the cat died in shipping is up for him to decide.
My buddy Asger and I are super in. Been waaay to busy with school lately, so now it's time to chow down on some pizza and make some damn video games!
Not many resources to find on this tiny planet... Maybe soon you'll be able to jump to another one?

Unfortunately we probably won't be able to use this enemy, but check out that slithery movement!

(also hey look snail guy made it in!)
Yea, we finally added a browser build, and by popular request: WASD controls :).
Try it out if it looks interesting: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/planet-hopping

I don't really know what I'm doing. I had no good ideas, so now I'm just making stuff.
I think there's gonna be a sniper trying to take you out (aim is unstable) and you have to not get shot.
Or you could play as the sniper.. dunno..
