I've written a few long posts before and had no response from Mike, so I'll keep this short.
I'd love if LD considered appointing someone they trust as a community manager. This would allow tasks to be delegated and avoid having one single point of responsibility for communication of information / announcements / organisation of the jam.
If you wrote a LD poem, great - share it. If Chat GPT did it for you, then why do you think people would want to read it? Its a community game jam, the focus should be on the people - not what you can type into a AI chat bot.
Short on ideas for the themes? I'd much rather read a post on how you brainstorm and develop ideas, rather than just read your regurgitation of a Chat GPT response.
Its about as useful as me sharing something like this:
If you want to research using AI tools, then you're free to do so. But I ask people to think twice before posting this on the homepage as "content". Where does the value come in your content? Does your content actually reflect you in anyway, or is just copy and pasting a result that anyone could have done?
A game jam is creative outlet, please let the human creativity still be a part of this community for at least a bit longer.

Elevander is a mouse-only controlled game! Whilst you can play the game by just using the standard flap, to get the most out of the game players should try to master the controls! There's a lot of nuance to the controls which give players greater control over the the adorable Prairie Chicken!
Some people have said the controls are almost a "getting over it" style, where there are restrictions that make it unconventional and challenging! Whilst I don't agree its that harsh, it definitely has a lot of nuance! Let us know if you master it and we appreciate any feedback on our jam entry!

The main critical feedback we've had about Elevander of the Emu Express has been that our little chicken is too hard to control! Whilst our intention was to make a "challenging control scheme" that strayed from typical platformers, we have put together a post-jam version with controller support and some quality of life changes that may help with the learning curve.
If you have a windows controller (PS4 doesn't work out of the box in Unreal Engine without us having the PS devkit sadly), you can use it during a level to control the chicken. We haven't updated menu's to work with controller.

What better way to worship your Frogod than with a Fregstival? Build up your temple to great heights, by organising fregs, food and defensive turrets. Why turrets? Because those blasphemous insects do not respect the Fregs or their God.
This is a tower-defence meets block-placing puzzler with a leaderboard! How high can you build the tower?
