Another jam done! Our team explored with retro aesthetics this time, with pre-rendered cutscenes and vertex snappy goodness. We tried making a HTML build, but sadly couldn't get it to work (next time). Looking forward to see LD56 submissions!
Almost had to tap out of the gamejam this time, when I remeshed a monster into 100+ million triangles, essentially deep-frying my PC. Got locked out for quite some time, but managed to get back in there eventually!
With a combination of sleep deprivation and exhaustion, I became superstitious of the blender file being cursed. So I cut this model from our game. But it's replacement sure is something!

For our game, I decided to make some 90s UI goodness, by rendering out some metal from Blender. And recording videos to have in it. Of course this had to be a last moment kinda thing, and we had so much UI this time!! But I think it turned out pretty neat.
The UI in all its glory! And AFTER spending a few hours switching out the Text. Was when it became apparent to me the font just didn't have the number 4 or 5.. which we end up displaying quite a lot in the game. Who makes a font without those?!
Our game Marsacre is a boomer shooter with infinitely stacking upgrades and one hell of a ride, especially when you reach new game+++
