Hello!!! Megan here! Concept artist and 3D artist on Finterior Decorator! Thought I would go over my process in a short and sweet way for doing art!

First: The concept art! Nailing down the overall style and look of our game right away helped a lot.

Second: Deciding on a workflow for making 3D assets! We decided to do the gradient texture approach for the majority of the assets except for certain key assets such as the fish and the gravel!! This makes it super easy and quick for texturing in a game jam and keeps the color palette consistent!
Third: Then it's just modelling and getting everything in there!! I also had the treat of making item icon images for the in game shop. That was WORK :sweatsmile: But it also helped me have this screenshot that covers most of the models we have in general!

SO. MANY. ASSETS.

It was worth it though!!!!

Despite the cute and friendly look of our game.. the inspiration behind it all is actually quite morbid.. You see.. We had fish once Ørjan and I (Megan).. It was our first time purchasing a tank and half the fun was decorating it, but then the other half was watching our pretty fish swim around. I'll cherish those moments.. because they didn't last long. Turns out no matter how much research you do and how hard you try. Keeping fish alive is actually quite hard :sweat_smile: So this game is dedicated to our fish.. May they rest in peace :angel:

Thank you so much to everyone who played and rated our game!!! If you don't know, Fitnerior decorator is a fish tank simulator. It lets you adopt new fish, keep them alive, and decorate your tank!

When you adopt a new fish, they will have a default name. This default name is a random name selected from a list that I've created which is currently populated by 9 different names. But I would like to add more names, and that's where you come in!

If you would like a name as a default name in our game, write a comment below containing the name. It can be your name, or any name that you would like! I will post an update here when I've added the names to the game!
