Ludum Dare 53

Just finished my first LD

I didn't get everything in that I wanted, but I'm really happy to have participated!

My very first game project was for LD47. I downloaded Unity a day before it started and tried to make something. As you can imagine, I was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, I didn't continue learning Unity or developing games after that event. Instead, I went back to my day job (software dev).

About a week ago, LD crossed my mind and I decided to see when the next event was. I was supposed to be busy this weekend, so I originally thought I wouldn't be able to join. BUT my weekend cleared up and I was able to put together a game for the COMPO.

It was a great 48 hours!

Let's go

What makes a good theme?

I'm not picky enough I guess, because I generally like most of the themes that make it to the final few rounds of voting. But I'd probably say it's better to be too broad than too narrow. And I prefer atmospheric over mechanical themes, but a combination of both is always nice. What about you?
