Connected Worlds WIP :)

Connect Worlds…  Well, at the beginning some of us hated the theme, but after several hours working on it, we think it’s not so bad, maybe even we like it :)

Here is an image of the current graphics.

It’s 10:22 here (17:22 in Japan, one of the team mebers is there XD), and must go find some food for breakfast to be able to continue, I’ll continue informing XD

Yay! We did it! :D

We get to finish in time! 😀 😀 😀

It was a crazy weekend! XD

We all 5 in team worked really hard, sleeping the least and nonstop programming, drawing, making music & sounds (and fighting some almost indestructible bugs XD) but we had a really great time! 😀

For most of us it was the first Ludum Dare, and although we would have loved having more time to polish the game, we are very satisfied: D

We wanted to pay homage to the NES. So both the music (made with FamiTracker) and graphics (sprites with a maximum of 6 colors, 3 color tiles, etc.) and the kind of game tries to imitate the games of that great console.
You should listen this music while watching the world go round XD

We had a really good time , we are exhausted but very happy ^^

I hope all of you had as much fun as we did! 😀 See you in the next Ludum Dare! 😀

SPANISH (Our team is mostly Spanish, so we’d like to translate this post for Spanish speakers ^^)

¡Conseguimos acabar a tiempo! 😀 😀 😀

¡Ha sido un fin de semana loquísimo! XD

I’ve finished recompressing & uploading the video, and I thought that maybe someone could enjoy watching it, so here you go ^^

But beware!! There are spoilers in the video! D:

So if you haven’t already played it, you can click here and download it (and rate it as well while you’re at it ^^).

Best wishes!

October Challenge: A Hole New World

October ended, but luckily we managed to publish the game in time! We are really happy!! 😀

We worked on the game we developed for the past 30 Ludum Dare entry http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=38790

People encouraged us so much that we decided to give it a try and try to finish the game for selling as the october challenge suggested :)

A bit of gameplay

A bit of gameplay :)

As it was too much work for only a month, we decided that the best option we had was to finish a pair of stages and then upload the game. We also told the possible buyers that the game is in expansion (we plan to develop three more stages), and that while it’s unfinished they can buy the game on sale (i.e. 1$ instead of its final price, that will be 5$).

I’m very happy to say that there are already several buyers (I didn’t expect people to buy the game before we did a bit of promo at least ^^), and if everything’s going ok we’ll try to allocate the game in some more stores, like OUYA store and Steam :)

Thank you for the jump-start, Ludum Dare friends! And good luck for all of you too! ^o^

Not sure if I’ll be able to make something for the Jam XD

I’m terribly slow, so the compo was out of the question, but I’d like to finish something playable for the Jam ^_^U

I had planned making a sidescroler in which the main character (an archeologist) finds an egyptian artifact with superpowers, then the pyramids start taking off like starships and the world goes to hell. I didn’t realized at first, but I probably should have tried something simpler XD

Right now I’ve got only lots of placeholders, a working menu and some horrible & broken gameplay intent. And 19,5 hours to go, yay! XD

Yeah, not the best name but Apocalipto was already taken, so it was this one or Egypsis

Also, bugs, bugs everywhere XD

Let’s have fun until the end of the Jam! 😀

Need… food… and… sleep…

I’m almost dead, but I finally got to make something slightly playable before the Jam ended XD

This is my first time soloing so I’m very happy with the results! 😀 (not with the game, my game is really really really crappy XD)

This masterpiece couldn't make to the actual game XD

The game (which I called EgyptGeddon) is a sidescroller about pyramids, artifacts & aliens, so if you feel curious you can try it here 😉
