So Close now!

Some minor ui changes and a bit more content. Now The code side of audio is about done, now I just have to figure out how to make the background music, I should probably fix the player sprite soon too.

LD33

Let’s get started!

just woke up and can’t wait to get started, looking forward to see what everyone makes with the theme. Good luck!

everything is going well

1

most base code implemented and some placeholder graphics done, now it’s time to add some gameplay and make the world come alive!

Rainbow People

2

Now I have randomly coloured enemies and a health bar, now it’s only a mater of time before you can start killing all of them. The question now is, should I change the colour to be more realistic, or keep rainbow people?

I love the rainbow people.

background!

3

After a couple of hours struggling with it the level can finally move from side to side, now I just have to flip the world generator upside-down and add more details

A nice city

4

The city is starting to take shape and the menus are almost completely done graphicly, then it’s time to add them in the code, that will probably take some time

Nice graphics.

Soon!

5

During the night, aside from procrastination, I added a upgrade system, a menu system, and blood! Now I just need to finish all the upgrades and refine attacks and AI, then it will be ready to be played(I should also add roofs to the houses before it starts raining)!

Evolution or something

6

Finally done drawing base of the player, now Only the biggest forms animation left then almost all the graphics done! But first I’m going to find some lunch.

Good luck to everyone for the last 15 hours!

idk

7

So at some point I decided that it was a good idea to be able to transform into a gigantic raw meatball. I don’t know why I did it, but it is really satisfying rolling over everyone killing them instantly!

Finally Done

8

I’m not very proud over my performance this LD, but hey at least I made something. maybe it would’ve been beter if I got some sleep to, now I just gotta submit, and go to bed, so good night and good luck to everyone still working the last hours and the jamers!

LD34

Time to make something(playable)!

11-39

Got the base code done, hopefully this ld is going to go better for me than the last one! for this ld I decided on a simple concept: ants, that couldn’t be to hard could it?

Going to try for both themes, that should be fun!

Anthole

13-14

The map should render somewhat correctly now, maybe some player interaction isn’t too far away now that the antqueen has a hole to live in.

we have to go deeper

15-05

Now the ants can do some digging and expand the colony, now I’m going to have to add either particles or some kind of path finding, after I’ve made the digging a little more robust.

you should put the contrast of dark and bright brown up…

I’m squinting at my monitor XD

Found it

19-02

The pathfinding should finaly be working, now to figure out what to do with it.

It works!

20-06

The pathfinding works, but only on the way back so there are no tunnels being built, just a cave. The good news are that I fixed some graphical issues so that it is no longer bound to the left edge of the screen.

22-53

with some changes in the pathfinding code it was possible to make the tunnels a bit less like a cave and more like an anthill, now there are some minor bugs but that shouldn’t be too hard to fix. The issue now is how do I make sure the player can see everything without making everything too small too see?

soon

2-16-56

It’s almost done now, just a lot of small fixes to be made, in some very messy code.

Is this your first LD, because for Java game, it’s really cool.

So close now!

2-19-28

some final bug testing, balancing and one last look at the graphics and everything should be done! Also I need to figure out what to name the thing.
