LD 40

My first Ludum Dare! I'm excited n.n

Hello! this will be my first Ludum Dare and jam in general. I have made lots of games in less than 2 days, some of them published on Google Play, but this will be my first time actually competing.

The tools I will use:

I'm still deciding if doing the compo or the jam. I'm not very good at making music, the jam permits you to use public domain and creative commons licensed music, also one extra day gives me more creative freedom so I can do something bigger.

Edit.- Updated Twitter handle.

Don't Kill The Zombies!

Long story short, I made the game in 8 hours.

Had the original idea of the game short after the theme was announced, but didn't do anything the first 2 days. The third day I had to go to the hospital all day so I didn't sleep and in the night I made the game, highly unpolished but it ended up being quite fun to play.

~~Gonna make a post-jam version with some improvements.~~ Edit.-Never did :p

Don't Kill The Zombies

Ludum Dare 46

Fixed the 2 main problems on my LD46 game.

I have fixed the 2 biggest problems. Simple changes so I’m sure they enter into “small fixes”, and they’re legal and legit :p They make a big difference tho: I added more dialogues so it’s less repetitive, and shortened the timer from 5:00 to 2:40. I’m sure it comes a long way. ;) As previous player feedback have noted.

This after 70+ ratings tho u.u I was slow right there…

Ludum Dare 47

I'm back for LDJam 47!

I'm glad I didn't miss this one. I'm already cooking some good ideas that fit the Theme Stuck in a Loop :p

Tools I will use: * Unity * Visual Studio * Photoshop

Good luck to all! ♥

Save Her. My LD47 entry is complete.

Once again, my game is a tale about 2 lovers. Will you be able to Save Her?

Check it out!

Ludum Dare 55

I'm joining again after so long.

With the intent of heavily focus it on story and emotions. Let's see what I come up with when the theme is decided.

I will use:

  • Engine: Unreal Engine 5.
  • 3D: Bought Assets.
  • 2D: Photoshop.
  • Audio: 3rd Party (legally licensed).

Focus of the game:

  • Story. I will show my story writing skills in this condensed limited environment. What better place!
  • Simple but enjoyable gameplay. Time is limited. I have to use it wisely.
  • Military grade Polishing.
  • Surprises!
  • Visually / Auditively attractive. Even tho not making the assets myself, I will unite them together beautifully.
  • Voice acting. Only me? I don't know yet.

If you wanna see what I'm cooking in the big game dev pc (spoiler: it is the same pc). Come follow me on X:

1 day in. My progress so far.

Done:

  • The main story structure is done (in my head).
  • Most assets are added. I kept it small (did I?).
  • Some areas well defined.
  • Assets are cooked. Building is fast. Uploading to itch.io should be too.

Left to do:

  • Mechanics per each area. 90%+ of the code.
  • Dialogues (with my own voice acting).
  • Improve the story with each iteration.
  • Improve the environment too.
  • Main Menu. I will keep it simple, to focus on the important things.

Keep jamming people! Daahrien

It's done people.

I used the whole 3 days. Only sleep, eat... and jam. In the end I wanted to add too much. Like in regular game dev. I'm specially bitter because the ending is very lackluster, for what I planned.

Check it out! Unpolished but completable.
