Hey guys,

I’m going to hopefully participate in the upcoming miniLD #25. This is going to be my first ever Ludum Dare, also my first development compo. 😀
So, I ask you, veterans, one-timers, and generally developers, do you have any tips for a newbie like me?

Dimension Wars

Dimension Wars is probably the worst game I’ve ever made. :)

It’s an “Age of War” clone, but it is like 1000000times worse. :)

Link coming soon, I’m going to first fix some performance issues.

Packed with intentional lagging, nag screens, annoying sounds and music. Lots of more annoying things. Probably left some debugging statements there, but it doesn’t matter. 😀

Please rate the game the worst possible in the comments. I was working hard to bring you a game which is extremely bad. If you want to talk to me, post here, or come to IRC. :)

Well, this weekend… Ahh… Nothing worked. 😀

But, anyways here is an extremely boring game which is actually my first ever Flashpunk game. 😀

No release yet, though, only a screenie.

Homing rockets, extremely hard boss, shopping, inter galactical routes, and so on. :)

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Think of it this way – YOU MADE YOUR FIRST EVER FLASHPUNK GAME! This is a considerable achievement and you should be proud to have done so in so little time! Ludum Dare is great for learning and you do NOT have to finish or polish your game: please post whatever you have, bugs and all! =)

Finally I think I’m officially in. 😀

I’m going to use the following:

  • Flashpunk as the engine
  • The trusty sfxr for the sounds.
  • The amazing musagi for music.
  • The lovely Paint.NET for the gfx.
