Started working on my game the One-way Ticket To Space Train

Hello,

I’m Markku Rontu aka Macroz. This if my first entry to the Ludum Dare competition. Let’s see what I can manage to create. My idea is a space colonization game with many twists. Tiny World aspect fits it rather well, so I’m not going to change my plan from yesterday.

I am using Clojure, Compojure, JavaScript etc. to make a web-based game.

Gearing up for LD #25

So this is my second try. I was quite happy with the results of the first try at LD #23. I made some further updates to the game while traveling, but my laptop broke before I managed to push them to the repo :(

This time I will not use JavaScript, but ClojureScript with some Clojure thrown in to serve the code. I have made a few simple games with this stack during the summer. Also live-coded one at clojuTRE in October. They were an asteroids clone and basic sidescrolling runner game. I think I will do a simple adventure game engine with really simple game, because I want to try to making a few such games next. Possibly I will port the previous try to it too.

As a bonus, I will try recording some music and sounds with a USB-MIDI cable and Overtone.

Final Journey

Finally finished!

Loved participating this time. Seems like every time is better. This was my third time and more to come definitely. Again I made a browser game. Seems like I’m at the limits of the performance this time. Had to remove some features because of it. Still I’m happy with the final result :)
