I haven't been on many LD jams(only 1 actually) but this time I really liked the theme, as always was hard to come up with an idea at first but then something came. Maybe I should've chosen some other genres but anyway I'm glad with the result despite not implementing a couple of important features.
My Game is a mix of a good old one-armed-bandit and an arcade platformer. You can check it out here. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/$83718
Hope you had the same amount of fun from the event as I did:)
The gifs have arrived

I have never tried making puzzle games but I'm glad I finally did. That was really fun despite everything not going according to plan and me not thinking before coding.
The result is here:

Wallace wants its first rating!

So my last level must be super hard or super obvious :)

Last couple of jams it was a struggle for me to come up with a puzzle idea but I wanted to make a puzzle game badly. This time went different.
The whole concept appeared in my head when I saw a screenshot of another game on feed (it had some ray coming in to the planet) twelve hours into the jam. So my advice for those who cannot come up with an idea at all would be to watch through the feed - it may be helpful.
As for the result, although I imagined the game to be a bit different: - You would move and move everything on the grid - You would not be able to touch the light - The game would have more horror atmosphere
Im still very proud of what I've done.
If you'd like to give it a try to solve its puzzles here you go:

Now it is time to play some games.

The lesson I learned this jam is the same as in previous jams: dont reinvent the bycicle. I've spent too much time and energy trying to solve a complex problem before finally searching for how others could have solved it. Yet I managed to do almost everything I wanted and learned new information so I'm more than happy.

And it was the best jam I've ever had. I like the work of our artists a lot! Me, Im still dead from the coding...

He just played our game for whole 30 minutes and gave us great feedback. And he needs games to play. https://www.twitch.tv/potkirland
When we made our game for LD49 we received a good amount of interesting feedback. We saw players being stressed out by it but also having a lot of fun. Some were swearing during the peak moments of the playthrough and some were sweating after completing it. We saw wild mixture of emotions from those who played so we decided to keep making it and see what's going to come out of it.

We made a story campaign with 10 levels, tripled the amount of interactable panels, added a bunch of gameplay mechanics, like panel being set on fire or colleagues that distract you from your work. Spiced it up with funny and over-the-top dialogue and characters. Right now we are working on hidden secrets that you can discover while playing by interacting with a room.
In a nutshell, we want to combine fun, stress and satisfaction from overcoming stress.
