Spent the first day going back and forth between two very different ideas, wile getting the boilerplate and systems code in place. With just over 22 hours left I've FINALLY made the decision which game to go with...
Behold the arena for Spiderball! (very much under construction)

And one of our athlete arachnids

Hey all. Checking in for JAM #3. I normally try for the compo, but this time I want to go for something with a significant level of polish.
As per usual I will be wearing all the hats, and will be tracking production time in an hour-by-hour document for post-jam analysis (which will be shared of course)
Tech = Javascript/Canvas + GIMP
Best of luck!
After narrowing all the possibilities down to two ideas, I spent the rest of last night hyper-analyzing which to go with. While I really really like idea #1, the mechanics would require more tuning than the time remaining allows for, and without those the concept may be low-hanging fruit. Hence it has been moved to a personal 7-day roguelike slot for after this LD JAM. Starting over, with idea #2
Everyone's games looks really creative so far, it's great to see what people are coming up with. This game is MINDSCATTER. The goal is to sort and process thoughts as they pile up. Too much of a thought pile results in too much stress. Here's a mockup of the game in progress so far.

Yes it's heavily inspired by the Pixar movie Inside Out. Yes I'm okay with that.
27 hours to go.
