It's been a while since I did a LD, but I took today and Monday off of work to make sure I didn't have an excuse to skip out. Probably going to use Unity, but might resort to a more comfortable environment of a Java or HTML5 game.

I'm doing it, mom! This will be my second Ludum Dare. Last one I tried to participate in was LD41, but I dropped out after about 6 hours of banging my head against the wall that was my own lack of preparation.

Congratulations to everyone finishing up their Compo submissions now! Great work! It honestly takes a lot to commit to a LD event, and even if you didn't polish everything you wanted to or even finish your game, you still did great in my book. :)

This will be my third LD, although might do the jam instead of the compo as I'll be starting a few hours late.

Planning to return to my roots and use Java, considering trying to use LWJGL but that will be dependent on how easy it is to get started with as I have no experience with it. I've made Java games from scratch before though, so that will probably be my fallback, or Unity if I want to make a 3D platformer.
