Ludum Dare 47

We almost didn't finish in time XD - A Duck In Time

This was @lovetocode999's fourth game jam and my third, and our graphics designers first time! We made this game and ran into a few large issues such as Github (our collaboration program) creating some issues that took quite a long time to fix. Along with various issues that resulted in only me being able to code this whereas lovetocode999 was going to help with that... Anyway here is the result!

I am planning on turning this into a complete game mostly because I wanted to add in a few characters polish the story and add more gameplay, so any constructive criticism you have to offer would be amazing!

Behind the Pipes in "A Duck In Time"

Here is my take on the game development on our game. We went through a few issues along the way especially with unity installing on @lovetocode999's hacky computer. Along with a few failed ideas and more!

At first we were very surprised to see how fast the game development process was going along and how well everything was turning out. So we decided to give our game a little bit more UMPH. We spiced it up with some cutscenes, an amazing boss fight, and even a surprise ending that I guarantee you are not expecting...

It has been a pleasure coding during this jam, but I think I am ready to relax and take a nice long sip of some LaCroix and maybe indulge in some flavor blasted gold fish. You know what I'm saying?

Clad In Plaid

banner.png

Brad the Chad is clad in plaid. He has managed to end up on top of a building in an apocalyptic scenario, his objective? Stay on that dang building no matter the cost…

Made in signifigantly less than 48 hours (I restarted after 3, and got at least 16 hours of sleep during the jam) this would have to be my best one yet! This also happens to be the first time I participated in the Compo instead of the Jam, definitly more stressful but achiveable if you have a good idea. Hence why I restarted.

Saving? They said it could not be done...

Banner.png

So I decided to code in some saving features to our game this jam... I initially used it to save data between scene trasnitions, but with several more lines of code, I made it so the player can return to their game instance if they want to come back later! (I used unity's built in PlayerPrefs functions to accomplish this).
