LDJAM: The Return

Second Jam for me, @juri, @dregs and @agee1981. Our first game wasn't a show stopper but it was a good, fun experience. Heres to progress! :nerd:

Tools:

Unity, Visual Studio, Craig's Kettle, Monkey Wrench, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Craig's Kettle

Silent Sloth Studios - Making the Progress ;)

So yea, me and my boys @juri, @agee1981 and @dregs (when he wakes up!) have made some good progress on the core ideas, concepts and story for our LD38 game! Will admit to not being STOKED about the theme, but you gotta play the hand you were dealt, we brainstormed some solid concepts and are super happy with our direction, so bring it on!!!

Sssshhh? Wait....did anyone hear that? No? I am sure its nothing to worry about, as you were ;)

:ghost: :space_invader: :scream:

Good luck everyone!!!

In for LD40 - Theme Suggestions

We competed in LD37 and LD38 (@dregs, @juri and I) but the team missed out on LD39 because reasons. So this will be our third jam. Getting a feel for how things work, even if our guys hit the middle road, still feels an accomplishment to finish games!

Not sure if this is a thing, or should be, but i developed a tool with @dregs to make slaughtering the themes easier, including being able to change votes (hate clicking and being all like meh, accident!), viewing all the themes at once, and also, viewing votes for previous rounds, and suggestions i made back then, because i keep forgetting and it amuses me.

Its a standalone website that does EVERYTHING front end - literally no server side code, so no storing or any details etc, no danger of naughtiness, and obviously does nothing the API doesn't allow (and all credit for the functionality on that side of things goes to Mike (@pov) and the Boys of course).

Feel free to use it, download the code to see for yourself (i have a standalone, static page version if you want it), or dont, thats cool too - and if i have stepped out of line here, just shout and ill take the site down, it was a personal project for me and @dregs but figured it might be useful. You can use the page to log in, or you could just load the page in the same browser you are already logged into LD with and it will use the same session to retrieve your themes and votes.

Anyhoo, if its useful to you, great. See you on the other side!!!

Virus Eater Peter is READY!

Well, this Jam felt like it went a lot lot smoother me, @juri and @dregs. This was our 3rd Jam, and whilst there was progress and personal satisfaction between the 1st and 2nd, this time around...it felt so much more. We have learned a lot about time management, resource management and two key things:

  • GET SLEEP!
  • ALLOCATE WORK TO TEAM MEMBERS EFFICIENTLY!

We have been guilty in the past of just trying to work through the tiredness, but this time we slept normal (relatively) sleep patterns and it paid dividends.

Without further ado, we give you....VIRUS EATER PETER. Please give it a try and rate it/provide feedback, we really hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed building it. There is not much in the way of story here but its a competitive game and we challenge you to post the highest score you can (our leader board is GLOBAL, so your score will be up there with the rest of them!

Look forward to the feedback.

Wrath of the Gods is LIVE!

This was an interesting Jam!!! 4th time round for our team, though slightly under-resourced this time. Massive learning curve as this was our first attempt at a 3D game, and the intricacies that go with that, so much fun though.

We applied many of the principals of our previous jams with Sleep and Time Management at the source of everything and it seemed to work well again - the usual scramble for publishing still happened!

I present to you all......Wrath of the Gods.

I look forward to all the feedback from all the kind people who take the time to play it.
