Everyone seems to be creating a bunch of “I’m in” posts. So I’ll join the crowd! I’ll be using:
Unity
Gimp and inkscape.

Hello Ludum Dare!
Hey everyone!
I am really excited for this upcoming competition. The themes have been so creative and some have made me laugh for hours!
This will be my first time submitting something for ludum dare, well if I’ll even be able to. My goal is to just finish a game and get it submitted. I know there will be bugs and I’m going to try to go with the simplest thing I can think of.
So my question for you guys: Before the theme is released, what recommendations can you give? There’s so much to do that the challenge feels overwhelming.

I recommend getting a decent amount of sleep, at least during the first day. Don’t stay up late or try to pull all-nighters, it’s usually not worth it.
Making Progress!
Still very new to designing games. Here is what mine looks like so far!
FYI, I’m not worrying about graphics right now
End of the day
For my first game, I have to say it’s all coming together! It’s just a simple story line game with very little involved. I’ve been struggling the most on simple movement and the art.
