LD 42

We're In and Good Luck!

This will be our third attempt at the Jam!
I hope we'll be able to release a better product than our previous entries.

@hoichael will be doing all the artwork and audio, while I will be writing the code.
I will be using my framework, which I am working on for another project.
It is built using the Ruby game development gem Gosu and it is still in very early development.
I'm still crunching some bugs and adding some final features to it, to get it ready for LD42!

We'll be using: - Language: Ruby - Framework: My framework, built on top of Gosu - Executable Build Tool: Ocra gem - Editor: Vim - Version Control: Git on Github - Graphics: Gimp - Audio: MuseScore and/or Bosca Ceoil - Task Management: Trello - Nourishment: :coffee: Coffee!

I am extremely ~~nervous~~ excited and happy to have the chance to participate in this amazing event once again!

During the event I'll try to get into social media a bit; I'll try to post some gifs and screenshots,
so in case you're interested, here's my Twitter:
@NoahRosenzweig
I'm also excited to see what you dudes and dudettes will be up to, so shoot me your Twitter handles!

Best of luck to all you beautiful game devs!
And most importantly:
~~don't burnout~~ Have fun!

Stabman! LD44 Post-Jam Version Released!

"We’ll hopefully be uploading a playable game in the coming weeks."
-- Me, 4 and a half months ago, in a comment on our LD44 jam entry.

So we've finally done it! We've finally finished a game!
Although we could have done more with it, I'm just very glad that we managed to actually release a complete, post-jam game for once!

So if anybody's interested, here's our updated LD44 page.
Here's the link to the itch.io page, where you can find the executable downloads.

I'm already getting very excited (and very nervous/anxious) about the upcoming jam...
Good luck everyone, may you use your final preparation time well! :)

Oh and also... we're in!

Ludum Dare 46

We're in!

We'll be participating in our 7th jam in a row,
with the usual stack: - Rust, with the [amethyst] engine and my little wrapper framework [deathframe]; - Gimp, background graphics and tiles; - Aseprite, sprites and their animations; - FL Studio, background music; - Tiled, level editor;

Our team of three: - Emu - level design, background graphics - Gorm - music, sound-effects, sprites and animations - Noah - code

I can't say I'm not nervous.
We've been working a bunch on a hobby game project [deathfloor],
and starting anew again has got me a little anxious.

I've created a [template project] this time, which I will use to get started.
It's quite a bit of boilerplate code.
This should save me at least half of the first day, from having to write all that by hand.

Anyways, good luck everyone!

Ludum Dare 47

We're in!

We're back to participating in LD47!
Same stack as always, rust/amethyst/tiled/gimp/aseprite/flstudio.

Excited, can't wait!
Good luck and have fun :)
