Inspirational {Programmers} Wallpaper!

Well, it might be a bit late, but at least I’m prepared for next time :)

The quote is from Gabe Newell, creator of Valve

The background was created in Blender, using a plane and some lights.

If you couldn’t guess, it’s me
My toolbelt contains the following:

Unity3d
Blender
Paint.NET

Hopefully I will be joined by my friend 00ooo, but we both have exams this week leading up to LD33 :(

See you all at the deadline

Do you hipster?

This guy is going to be featuring in my game,  “<Insert appropriate game name here>”

Should be a super hipster here...Squint!

My idea, without spoiling everything, is to do something with a haunted house…

Continued best of luck to you all

Good start

I would love to tell you what my game is but that would be spoiling 😉

Fortunately, I do have a screen shot, 4 & 1/4 hours in, and there is a bunch of sprites on a screen. Good luck making sense of it!

I promise it’ll get better! :)

Lunch Break

Because time zones are just so amazing I have just finished my lunch and crossed the first 24 hour mark. Awesome. Originally, I planned to do a 2d Haunted House simulator, matching your technique to the patrons worst fear. It wasn’t working, so I’ve moved on, and in the last few hours I’ve got top down movement, a semi placeholder modular environment kit and some basic lighting effects. The plan is now to implement the AI and procedural levels. Shouldn’t be too hard 😉

Wishing you all luck2

It does have it, it’s just the a low res picture

As the Jam draws to a close:

I know the Jam isn’t really drawing to a close just yet, but I wont have any time to submit tomorrow, because I’ll be at school, so I’ll be submitting tonight. Here’s a small sneak peak to satisfy your hunger, and a link will be posted when I’ve submitted to finally quench your curiosity. :)

Submitted!

I am really happy how Dungeon Crawler -REVERSE turned out. Currently it only has one level, but there is a  full procedural level generator (based on Sebastian Lague’s Cave generator) so more levels will come post ld. Art is certainly lacking, but I tell myself it has a unique charm to it

Shout Out!

After the submission of my game, Dungeon Crawler -REVERSE, I do need to dish out the credit where the credit is due:.

The invaluable information contained within Sebastian Lague‘s tutorials is well above the par of every other Unity tutorial I have seen, so I highly recommend you check him out! A lot of the material covered in his tutorials made it into my game, mainly the top-down shooter tutorial, and the cave generator tutorial! (Secretly it’s hiding in the back, ready to generate more levels for the post-LD version)

Thanks Sebastian!

I like his tutorials too! For me, the most valuable were the ones about 2d platformer.

Sadly it won’t start. It says “MissingKeyMissing Key-Pair-Id query parameter or cookie value”. running on safari.
