LD23

I’m in!

I’ve been programming for quite some time, but only recently started to develop games, so this is my first LudumDare!

I’m going to make a WebGL game with Three.js, using CoffeeScript. Every file save I make will be pushed to the public, so you’ll be able follow the development and play the game at any time. The game url will be posted on my twitter account at @oav.

SlinkySnake

Changes since the last update:

  • Sound effects
  • Target to make it easier to see where you’re heading
  • Bigger level area and more plants
  • Grow / eat animations

The code is available on Github and the game can be played here.

Shapeshifting puzzle game

Quadrisic

My shapeshifting puzzle game Quadrisic is playable and (imho) quite fun. Squares become triangles, and triangles become circles. Circles become squares again. Select as many of the same type at once to get more points. Feel free to comment with your best scores. And happy game jamming!

Mobile support in the works

Mobile support

Flexbox and media queries for screen resolution makes mobile support possible. No point prediction yet, but it’s getting there. Not sure if the menu pane should be on the left or on the right, though.

On the menu pane thing, I’d like to suggest you put it on the left if you’re gonna make it into a mobile game, as most people will use their right hand to play, mainly.

Yes, I think that makes sense. Thanks for the feedback!

Game over.

Game over.

This is it. I’ve decided it’s time to say that my game is done. It’s been yet another amazing experience doing LudumDare again. Reading this blog over the weekend has been so inspiring, and I’m looking forward to play a lot of games in the voting period.
