LD35

First screenshot!

Yep, an infinite runner in which you change shapes to adjust to circumstances. My first LD, so I thought I would rather keep it simple. Spent a horrible amount of time dealing with some texture issues,  but the prototype’s working!

Good luck everyone!

Almost done

Ok, I just finished the basis for an infinite runner, I just need to add different kinds of obstacles to the map so it doesn’t get repetitive. Pretty decent for my first LD entry!

If you can’t beat ’em

Wow, after some judging I noticed that the vast majority of participants used Unity3d, and they got pretty good results, I might consider learning it for the next LD. It’s just I can’t get used to it, but I guess not having to spend the fist two hours getting a black square on the screen would be great.

Meanwhile, this compo participant keeps making improvements

While all the jammers are jamming, I wanted to show that I actually heard the feedback that I got and made my game a little easier. Here, take a look if you still haven’t played it:

Also, now you can skip instructions!

For some odd reason, the gif won’t play!

Done it! nevermind

They say my game is hard…

I learned a lot this LD, and was able to finish my game in 48hs. A game in which you change shapes to overcome obstacles as fast as you can.

The thing is, most of the feedback I got says it’s too hard. And that’s because it IS in fact really hard. And I will change it, but before that, I dare you to play it. Love infinite runners? Love hard, reflex-based games? Come on, play it!
