Ludum Dare 55

I'm in. Very first LD, let's do this!

I'm already behind schedule (my CEST time zone is less than ideal) but super excited to get started. Aiming for something as KISS as possible, I have too many unfinished projects already

Anyway, here's my setup:

Will also potentially be streaming some of the way (depending on my sluggish tower's performance):

(can't post links yet it seems, same user name as on here)

Best of luck to all of you!

Day 2: Just roll over

As with all time-critical tasks, I've spent 90% of last night with bugs and finicky details. Frustrated with my progress but super-determined to put "something" out at least.

For future reference, I hope to see you over here. Have fun for the rest of the event everyone :smile_cat:

Well, it is... something

As I've mentioned in my last post - heading into the second day - it was clear I couldn't even vaguely bring my envisoned core gameplay loop to life.

However, it is up, it is "working", it is right here.

My main takeaways of my very first LD compo; hope this can serve as future reference: - Spill first, clean up later. - I am old, I need sleep (heading into my 30s is rougher than I had thought). - Put fun above all. - It's time to either buy a new PC or switch game engine (thanks for nothing, Unity). - Every single person taking part in this challenge should be immensly proud of themselves - no matter how big or small their result may feel (this includes you, reading this, right now!)

And with this, I'm signing off. See you on the other side.

Happy LD to you ... and to all a good night! (CEST crowd, anyone?)
